When I got to work I stopped recording.
It wasn't video recording it was a voice recording.
I ran to work because I had a shift anyways.

The next day

Me and Debbie were hanging out and we got to the topic of Carl.
"So he got in?" I asked a little sad
I mean obviously I'm happy for him but, we were getting serious, I was falling for him. And I was falling hard.
I don't want to be heartbroken.
"Yeah... you okay?" She asked
We were almost at her house.
"Yeah I'm just gonna miss him, that's all." I said kicking pebbles that were in my way.

When we got to their house Debbie let me hold Franny.
"Hi, peekaboo, peekaboo!" I played with her.

Fiona came in and they all started talking about Carl's party.
Carl came downstairs while I was playing with Franny.

I was sitting on sofa with her in my lap.
"Bad news Carl, we don't have a party for you."
Fiona said sincerely.

"It's fine, I don't even know if I'm gonna go." He went into the kitchen.
"Why?" Lip asked.
I stood up and held Franny in my arms going to the kitchen.

I sat down hearing them talk.
"Gallagher's are a lot of things but no one says we back down from a challenge." Fiona said replying to something Carl said before that.

After a few seconds Carl nodded.
"Yeah."
He's going...

Later

Carl is really leaving..
"Hey Sargent Winslow." Carl said
"I wanted to make sure you got on that bus even if I had to handcuff you to it." He said.
I looked at Carl, he was happy.
I'm happy that he's happy.

But I'm gonna miss him so fucking much
Carl tried to hug him but he got stopped
"Uh uh uh no you don't."
"Are you ready?" Lip asked
Carl turned around
"No."
He looked at me then his family.
My eyes were watering.
I dug my nails into my hand to stop myself from crying.

"I'm going though. I think I need to. I need some direction. I'm not good at school, not good at sports. Definitely don't wanna be back in the corner. One thing I do know is that I can take a punch and hit harder back. Hopefully I can put that to some use." He said

Fiona stepped forward.
"Call. Email. Don't make me come down there and embarrass the hell out of you." She hugged him.

"I'm proud of you." She said and gave him his bag.
Then Debbie hugged him.

When Carl stepped in front of me I wanted to cry.
I feel weak... but I'm weak for him. He made me soft.

I hugged him tightly.
"I'm gonna miss you homeboy." I whispered in his ear, still hugging him.
He wrapped his arms around me and kissed my cheek.

I let a tear slip.
"I'm gonna miss you too homegirl." We pulled away.
"Hey, I'm gonna be here waiting for you when you get back." I smiled.

He kissed me and I kissed back.
He got on the bus and looked at us.
"I'm gonna come back a man." He said
The bus doors closed.

I stepped next to Fiona.
She grabbed my hand and squeezed it.
He smiled at us and went to a seat.
The bus drove away and we started to walk.

"How long do you think he'll last?" Fiona asked
"A week." Debbie said
"Four hours." Said lip
A gun clocked

We looked at Sargent Winslow.
"I need to make sure some punk doesn't have his hands down my daughters drawers." He said getting in the car.

Fiona went to work or something and I just walked to the Gallagher house.
I was planning on sleep there tonight.

Once I got in the house I took my phone out.
"Hey homeboy, miss me yet?" I sent a text to Carl.
"Always." He replied.
I smiled and went upstairs.
"Jaime I'm gonna spend the night with the Gallagher's I'll see you tomorrow." I pressed send.
I started to get sleepy and fell asleep on Carl's bed.

A few days later

I was off from work and was really bored.
I was missing Carl too and wanted to get my mind off of it.
I went down to the laundromat Fiona bought to help her with the tiles.
I opened the door and Fiona had some goggles or something to protect her eyes.

"Need some help?" I asked
She smiled and handed me a pair of safety goggles.
"What are you doing here with me and not out with friends?" She asked.
"I miss Carl, and plus I don't really have many friends." I shrugged
"Well you got me." She smiled
"Thanks" I laughed a little.

After about an hour

I looked at the time and I had to go meet with Jaime in less than an hour.
"Hey I'm sorry Fi, I gotta meet up with Jaime in 20 minutes, I'll text you later though." I said getting up.

I brushed the dust off of my pants and gave her the safety goggles back.
"Don't worry about Carl, he's tough, he can handle himself." Fiona said
I smiled.

"Thanks, and thanks for this, I've been feeling lonely and it's nice to know I have a friend. Plus me and Debbie haven't been talking much since she had Franny." I said.

She nodded
I was about to walk out when Kevin came in with w bunch of friends from the bar.
"Hi Kev, bye Kev." I waved and walked down the street.
