Kai laid on the couch starving (or so he thinks). He didn't know what to eat because there was LITERALLY NO FOOD! It made him mad. He looked over at his mother.
"Mom?"
"Hm?"
"Uh- can uh- you uh- come here?"
"Sure"
Maya walked over to Kai and sat down beside him. Kai curled up close to her side and held back tears. Maya pulled him into her lap.
"What's the matter?"
Kai whimpered and buried his head into her chest.
"I'm hungry......p-please h-help?" Kai whispered.
Maya softly smiled, got comfortable, and fed her son. Kai calmed down.
*45 minutes later*
Kai was asleep. Maya smiled softly and put him in the bed. She laid beside him and fell asleep too.
