TAEHYUNG'S POV
My mind was conscious, but my body was not. I tried desperately to awaken myself, but my muscles lacked the strength required for my arms and legs to move. With horror, i wondered if i was in a coma. Or possibly, my body had been severely deprived of human blood for far too long and i was finally facing the consequences.
That's when I realised that the temperature of my room was unusually hot. Too hot.
The sun was streaming in through the open windows without an invitation. Still drowsy from my afternoon nap, I struggled to think straight. Had I forgotten to close the curtains? My eyes darted away from the dangerous golden rays as a burning sensation developed inside of my pupils.
They then landed on red and yellow sparks that were being produced by dancing flames, devouring the candles that decorated my desk. Candles that I never used because, you know, fire wasn't exactly my thing.
Fire. The room was a burning inferno.
The mirror in front of me had been vandalised with a large drawing of a cross. I gripped my sheets roughly. The sight of it triggered something inside of me, something that made my heart beat differently.
The emotion called fear.
I tried to transform but my debilitated body would not allow it. I felt powerless and afraid, like a pathetic human being.
After a couple of painful minutes, I managed to gain control over specific parts of my body. In my weakened state, I pulled myself up from bed. Patches of darkness covered the corners of my vision, growing in size. If I remained in the room any longer, I would surely pass out.
I heaved my blanket over my head, shielding myself from the sunlight that was threatening to cut through my tissues. Balls of sweat trickled down my face as I struggled to endure the unexpectedly high degree of warmth. I crawled out of bed and slowly rose to my feet. My breathing was heavy, and the air that i inhaled was impure, contaminated by particles of gas.
Who the hell is responsible for this?
The answer was fairly obvious. There were a total of three people in this house. Two of them were vampires. It would have to be the one person that was not vulnerable to any of these things.
A human, with vampire tendencies.
It had to have been her.
