A body?

Before I could even get my converse off Vern ran up to me rambling about the pennies, and overhearing our brother and Charlie say something about a body. I was in shock. "Go get your stuff Vern" I said re-lacing my shoes
"My stuff? Why?"
"Just do it and hurry" i I shouted running to my room. I knew what I was doing. I needed to get away from Eyeball, I felt like if I saw him one more time I'd fall in love with that worthless, handsome, no good, big brown eyed hood. I grabbed my sleeping bag, flask, and some cash and me and Vern set off to the treehouse.
We told all the boys our idea to go find it and get on tv. We agreed on saying we would camp out in the backfields that night and go to the drag races the next day.
"Perfect" Teddy smiled
"Like her" Chris mumbled. No one seemed to hear it but you.
"What did you say Chris"? I asked confused
"Nothing" he said with a sigh. I decided to all meet up at the railroad tracks in half an hour. I planned on walking with Gordie and Chris since, quite honestly, they were my best friends. I loved them with every ounce in me, even if I was a year and a half older. I went home with Gordie so he could grab his things. "Hello Mr.LaChance" I smiled
"Tessio" he scoffed
I have Gordie a weird loom and he just rolled his eyes. I waited outside the door and heard something that made me upset.
"Why can't you have friends like Denny's"? Mr. LaChance hissed
"Dad they're okay"
"Sure they are, a thief, two feebs and a hussey"
"Chris isn't a thief, and Delilah isn't a hussey"
"He stole the milk money at school, and she hangs out with boys, what do you think people have on their minds about that"?
Gordie didn't answer. He just walked out.
"I'm sorry you had to-"
I cut him off "it's fine, id like to step on the old bastard but it'll be fine" I smiled and put my arm around Gordie as we walked to the streets. Chris jumped off a old hay truck.
"Hey guys"
"Hey" we both said quietly.
"Y'all okay"?
We looked at each other then at Chris and nodded.
"Come on I want to show you guys something"
"This should be good" I said sarcastically
"Oh come on" he laughed punching my shoulder. We ran behind a diner and Chris pulled out a gun. My eyes filled with fear, Gordie's with excitement.
"Walking talking Jesus" Gordie said taking the gun
"Chris Chambers"!
"Delilah it's fine it ain't loaded I copped it off the old mans bureal"
I sighed and gave him a slight smile. Poor guy. I know how his dad is.
My thoughts were interrupted by a loud sound.
BANG! The gun went off hitting the trash can.
"JESUS"! We all yelled in sync. We ran away as fast as possible as a waitress came out the door behind us, assuming it was fireworks.
Me and Gordie were furious
"That was a mean trick" i hissed
"I didn't know it was loaded" Chris said still laughing.
"You knew it was loaded you wet head"! Gordie gelled.
Chris stopped. "Guys seriously I'm sorry, I didn't know it was loaded"
Me and Gordie exchanged a look.
"Fine" I said hugging Chris
He and Gordie pinky swore. We kept walking and sure enough the devil and his minion were soon to be found.
"Asshole 12 o'clock" I whispered
"Hello beautiful" Ace said putting his hand on my cheek.
I pulled it off. "Knock it off hood"
That's when I made eye contact with Eyeball. He smirked "feisty"
I rolled my eyes.
Ace snatches Denny's hat off Gordie's head. Gordie gelled and tried to get it back. Chris was helping and it the commotion Eyeball snaked his hand around my waist, squeezing it and whispered in my ear "now you surely you aren't mad at little old me, huh babe"? He smirked. I got chills. Before I could respond Ace had Chris on the ground and a cig to his face.
"HEY YOU ASSHOLE" I yelled getting his attention. I kicked him in the side and pulled the hat away from him, handing it to Gordie. I knew immediately I shouldn't have kicked Ace Merrill. I was scared, but couldn't move. He chuckled "so you pussies are having a girl beat people up for you, huh? I see how it is. Just you wait. I won't forget this he pointed at Chris and Gordie. And you, you, I, I'll get you, you could've had this" he said pointing at his body. I rolled my eyes and made a gagging sound. Chris and Gordie turned around, eyeball kissed my cheek and ran behind satan. I shook my head. "Lilah" Chris said
"Yes"?
"You're blushing"
Uh oh..."no I'm just mad"
"Oh. Uh okay"
We got to the railroads and sure enough there was the crazy kids.
