Two weeks had passed since Logan's last encounter with MJ. For the first few days, Logan was in a state, drinking himself to sleep. Not knowing where he was, was frustrating him. A few dinners with Mrs Dos Santos, and Skype calls with Montana helped him through his trauma.

When he was emotionally stable enough for the both of them, Logan decided to be the better man and confront MJ. It took a lot of work to get Logan back to his usual self, but when he did, he swore that breaking into La Café and confronting Mrs Dos Santos, was the best thing he had ever done.

She took him in and supported him without judging him or reminding him of his stupidity when it came to MJ Billings and Carmen. He was not yet fully healed emotionally, but his mental state was getting better, he stopped asking himself a lot of questions he had no answers to; and instead, looked for the answers from the only person who had them.

What worried him now was how MJ was going to react when she saw him, and how he was going to react if he did not get the answers he was expecting.

He did not want Antonina to ask him too many questions, so he told her he was only coming to say goodbye to Jorge at Billings Corporations. Jorge was supposed to return with him to Cape Town, but apparently there was a very important board meeting that Jorge could not miss.

It was a bit late in the afternoon, and Jorge was sitting in the boardroom, on the CEO's chair, while five other men in business attires occupied the rest of the table. Logan was one of them, he 'volunteered' to tag along just so he could see MJ, but she was nowhere in sight.

Jorge, assuming that Logan did not want anything to do with MJ, assured him that she was out preparing for the official meeting and getting the company running again.

"Well, that's it then." Jorge said and stood up from his chair. "Gentlemen." He extended his hand and shook the men's hands as they left the boardroom. After the last man exited, Jorge finally took a deep breath. "That went exceptionally well." He said to Logan who was still seated at the end of the table.

If there was something Logan knew Jorge would never get straight, was that he was a smooth liar when he needed to be. The board members were planning on voting out MJ as their CEO and it seemed like all of them were on board, while Jorge played the fence seater.

They were playing with fire, but he was not going to tell him that. Only God knows what that woman was planning in their absence.

"Well..." Logan started, getting up from his chair. "It was great. Better than I'd expected, I really underestimated you, buddy." He lied, a small smile playing at the corner of his lips. "I thought your sister was the tough one, but looks like you have the genes," he said sarcastically, a devious smirk on his face.

"I'll take that as a compliment, my friend." Jorge smiled.

"Well, I have to admit, I learnt quite a few things here today. Turns out I don't know everything." Logan sighed and leaned against the table, looking around him.

He felt a bit uncomfortable being in MJ's den, and felt quite intimidated by her even thought she was not there. Her work spoke for itself. The building was enormous and the interior was just a part of the icing. Most of the furniture and other appliances were either grey, or white, or both.

"Your sister really outdid herself, I feel quite small." He chuckled nervously. Jorge eyed him suspiciously, but did not say anything.

They remained silent with Logan battling with his thoughts and emotions, while Jorge was busy chatting on his phone.

Jorge smiled, looking at his phone before he looked up and noticed something in Logan's hands. He was busy fiddling with a gold watch. "Where did you get that?" He asked him, suddenly gaining interest.
