~3rd Person's POV~
It was currently 11:45pm, and you were almost ready for the nightshift. Though you weren't sure what to expect since the previous night guard "Mike" is going to be with you for "guidance" through your first few nights. Why he was so persistent in the matter made so many questions go through your mind. Either way, you finished your routine and headed outside, securing the door behind you. Standing at the door waiting for him to pick you up. Yes, Mike also insisted on picking you up on the way to work. Though you kept saying you'd find your way there, he wouldn't take no for an answer.

A few minutes later, he arrived. You hurriedly walked to the car and got in. "Hey, Mike... Um, thanks for the car ride." You shyly spoke while being slightly curious at the same time. If that makes sense.

"Hey (y/n), it's no problem." He replied and took off from your house.

Curiosity got the best of you, so you couldn't hold in your questions anymore. "So... Why did you insist on picking me up? Why do you insist on being there with me the first couple of nights?"

He glanced at you for a moment before turning his eyes back to the road. "By the look on your face, I knew you had questions. So to answer your first question, I insisted on picking you up because I live a couple of houses down from you, it would be much more convenient. Far as the other question... T-There's a lot of things you need to learn if you want to make it through the nights... I don't want you to go in there and go off of the instructions from the pre-recorded messages... Things will be much more complicated and scary for you."

~At the Restaurant~
Realizing the car was coming to a stop, you snapped out of your thoughts. You were so caught up trying to think of what he meant, you didn't even realize you had made it. "Wait--- What do you mean scary--???" You slowly got out of the car and had a feeling that taking this was going to be the biggest mistake you've ever made.

"Y-You'll see- Cmon let's get settled inside the office before your shift starts." He locked the car after you got out and you both headed inside. He randomly grabbed your hand and sped walked to the office. Like he was scared of being in the same room with the animatronics. Though you didn't blame him. They really did look completely different at night. Almost eery...

"Okay we're here... I'm going to disconnect the phone so you won't have to hear--" He was about to disconnect the phone until you stopped him.

"But I want to hear the message. It is company policy to listen to the pre-recorded messages anyway." You frowned at him slightly.

"Okay..." He reluctantly pulled away from the phone and focused on showing you all the basic functions he's done to survive.

After the lesson, you started to have even more questions and started to get un-nerved. "W-Why do I have to close the doors in the f-first--" You stopped your sentence hearing the bell go off, signaling your shift has started. For some un-apparent reason, your heart dropped out of your chest. Then the phone rang a few times before it started to play a message.

"Hello? Hello! Uh, I wanted to record a message for you, to help you get settled in on your first night. I actually worked in that office before you, I'm finishing up my last week now as a matter of fact so... I know it can be a bit overwhelming, but I'm here to tell you, there's nothing to worry about! You'll do fine! So--- let's just focus on getting you through your first night. First, there's an introductory greeting from the company I'm supposed to read. It's kind of a legal thing you know."

You sat in the chair and listened carefully while Mike stood beside you watching your reaction.

"Welcome to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, a magical place for kids and grown-ups alike, where fantasy and fun come to life. Fazbear Entertainment is not responsible for damage to property or person. Upon the discovery of the damage or death occurred, a missing person report will be filed within 90 days or as soon as the property has been thoroughly cleaned and the carpets have been replaced--blah, blah, blah."

Your eyebrows shot up concerned "Why would there be a death occurrence here--???"

"Now that might sound bad I know, but there's really nothing to worry about! Uh-- the animatronic characters do get a bit quirky at night, but do I blame them? No! If I were forced to sing, those same stupid songs for 20 years and I never got a bath? I'd probably be a bit irritable at night too. So remember, these characters hold a special place in the hearts of children, and you need to show them a little respect. Right? Ok, so be aware, the characters do tend to wander a bit. They're left with some kind of "free-roaming mode" at night. Something about their servos locking up if they're turned off for too long?"

"...W-What?" You whispered to yourself. Hearing the fact that they can roam wherever they please gave you goosebumps.

"They used to wander during the day too-- but then there was the bite of '87... Yeah, it's amazing how the human body can live without the frontal lobe, ya know?"

Your eyes shot open and your mouth practically shot to the floor in shock "WA--WHAT?! How can he so calm about---?!" Mike shook his head in agreement and told you to continue listening.

"Now concerning your safety, the only real risk to you as the nightguard here-- if any is the fact that these characters... If they happen to see you after hours, probably won't recognize you as a person. They'll most likely see you as a metal endoskeleton without its costume. Now since that's against the rules here at Freddy Fazzbear's Pizza, they'll probably try to... Forcefully stuff you inside a Freddy Fazbear suit."

You were somewhat confused "That doesn't really sound so--"

"It wouldn't be so bad if the suits weren't filled with crossbeams, wires and animatronic devices, especially around the facial area. So you could imagine having your head forcefully pressed inside one of those could cause discomfort... and death. The only parts of you that would likely see the light of day would be your eyeballs and teeth when they pop out the front of the mask."

You froze on the spot looking paler than a sheet of paper.

"Heh-- yeah they don't tell you these things when you sign up. But hey, the first night should be a breeze. I'll chat with you tomorrow. Check those cameras, and remember to close the doors only if absolutely necessary. Gotta conserve power. Alright, goodnight!"

You finally unfroze and snapped your head towards Mike in fear "Oh-- Oh God am I gonna die?" You whispered and started to tear up in fear.

"That's why I insisted on being here... I won't let that happen to you." He looked away as his face started to heat up.

It didn't go unnoticed. "W-Wait--- I knew there was a reason you'd go through all this trouble... D-Do you l-like me?" You asked and started turning red as well.

"Okay I-I guess now would be the time to tell you... I do. Since you f-first came here I found you interesting (y/n)..." He looked back at you to realize you had gotten up and gotten close to him.

"I wish you would've said that in the first place silly! I-I like you too!" You smiled at him.

Both of you got closer and was about to kiss until you heard an eery, raspy moan coming from something at the left door. Which was behind you.

"M-Mike what is that--?!" You whooped around to look but he already dashed to the door and closed it. You continued to stand there pale and shaken. "What was that!?"

"T-That was one of the animatronics. It was Bonnie, he always comes off the stage first and shows up at the left door." He sighed and grabbed the monitor to make sure nothing else is happening.

"Thank you for being here... I don't think I would make it without you." You gave him a quick hug and kiss on the cheek making him turn red again.

"I-Its no problem at all. Hell, I'll be here for you the whole five nights. I don't want you here alone."

You both smiled at each other and kept each other safe and company. If it weren't for the horrifying reality of these creatures trying to kill you, things were otherwise pretty nice.

Being together.
