Dear April,

I am so glad that you have my papers. So far, I haven’t found any of your belongings with me. I am glad you liked my writing. Since I am leaving this afternoon and have no way to get the papers from you, so I would really appreciate if you could just hold on to them and keep them safely. I will figure the rest out later. Thank you so much.

Yours truly,

Ethan Morris

I couldn’t help but jump up and down. I began to think, was I attracted to Ethan? But then again, I couldn’t be attracted to someone I saw for like half a minute, that was like being attracted to one of those Abercrombie models who take pictures with obsessed teenagers.

With that strange thought out of my head, I decided to reply to Ethan’s email.

Dear Ethan,

I will be glad to hold on to your papers, and I will do my best to keep them safe. I can tell that they mean a lot to you. The next time you come into the city, we will make a plan so that I can give you the papers back. Till then, you don’t have to worry, your papers are safe with me.

Yours truly,

April Walters

It was pretty late, so I decided to grab a bite. Since I had finished the last and only thing in my kitchen, microwave popcorn, I decided to go out.

Luckily the strange weather disappeared so I didn’t have to bundle up. I put on some casual clothes (since I was not going anywhere fancy) and stepped out into the bustling city.

Luckily there was a Subway near by, and what’s better than a good sub at the park watching a beautiful sunset?

I had my sandwich, my drink and an amazing view.

But I still had one problem. Ethan. The thought of him kept coming back to me and haunted me. I couldn’t help but struggle to wait for that day when we meet.

I kept picturing it to be romantic.

“I stood there by the verandah at 10 o’clock, waiting for his arrival. The verandah was situated in the middle of a field, adorned with tulips. My white dress flowing in the wind, I stared into the distance and waited. I felt a tap on my shoulder and I spun around, only to be embraced by a warm comforting hug. He said April, I have waited for this day for a long time, to finally look into your beautiful eyes. I said Ethan, hopefully these papers will not set a barrier between us, and we shall meet again soon. He looks at me, with a sad look, Of coarse not my love, we will meet here every week for eternity. And then he gently picked me up, put his forehead to mine and kissed me.”

And then I realized what it was actually going to be like.

“I said, Hey, here are your papers, you write really well, hopefully I get to read one of your future novels!” He says, Thank you so much for keeping it safely, I really appreciate it. And then we shake hands and leave the random coffee shop where we decided to meet to give him the papers.

My imagination is a bit too wild.

I finished my Sub and decided to make my way home. Unfortunately, Ethan was still in my head.
