"You ready, Jendeuk?" I look at Jisoo in the vanity mirror and smile at her.

"Yeah. Are you done packing?" She wraps her arms around my waist and kisses my head.

"You are so beautiful, Jennie."

I smile at her sweet words as I turn to face her. I cup her cheeks and rest my forehead with hers.

"Thank you, baby."

She smiles and kisses the tip of my nose. But her eyes speak worry. I think I know what this is about.

"Are you sure we're going? It's okay if we won't go, if you know, you're not ready to hang out with them."

I knew it.

I just shake my head and pull her hair back through my fingers.

"We will go." Jisoo nods with a sigh.

"Okay. If that's what you said so. I will prepare the car. I'll wait for you downstairs."

She kisses my lips one last time before she leaves. My smile fades she's out as I turn to look at the mirror.

I'm only wearing comfy clothes since we're going to the beach with our group of friends for a week. I can't wait to hang out with them.

I just put a little lipstick on my lips and puckered it and I just smiled. It was fake. Strained and tight. I can feel my chest tighten as my vision became blurry.

I want to show her how much I've changed after she left me. That I can live without her. That I finally moved on from her.

I am happy with Jisoo— or let's just say I'm trying my best to be happy with her. Until now, I'm still haunted by the pain, and I want to forget about it so badly.

I take a deep breath before taking my purse as I leave our room. I proceed to our car and Jisoo opens the car door for me.

I kiss her cheek and hop in while she closes the door and goes to the driver's seat. But I get lost in thoughts, feeling uneasy.

I'm going to spend time with everyone. Everyone including Lisa and Chaeyoung. But am I ready to face them again?

I just sigh as I feel Jisoo's hand on mine.

"You sure you're okay, Mandu?"

I give her a reassuring smile and nod. I hold her hand, squeezing them tight.

"Yes, I'm okay. Let's go. I bet they're waiting for us."

She starts to drive to the airport while our hands clasp on my lap. I only enjoy the view until we arrive.

And there go my friends without Seulgi and Irene since they're already in Seulgi's resort. But Lisa and Chaeyoung smiled faintly at us. We greet everyone, hand-in-hand, cheek-to-cheek until we reach them.

"Jisoo."

Lisa smiles, offering her hand.

Everyone watches them and prepares to stop them if they fight. But Jisoo only smiles and takes her hand.
