Rebecca had just finished making dinner when Colby came in the front door, he had been on the road for 2 weeks straight and he was missed terribly by all of his girls.
Being on the road was different not having Rebecca with him, he was so used to having her there to workout with him everyday, he was so used to getting coffee with her before going to the show, he missed having someone to bounce ideas off of constantly.
The one major change he had was the constant chaos, when he was on the road it was quiet and it should be relaxing but it wasn't in the slightest especially when he knew Rebecca was home dealing with the complete and utter mayhem.
He walked in the front door and immediately was met by screaming, he looked to the play room to see Ava and Olivia screaming at one another as they yanked a doll back and forth between themselves and Rebecca walked into the living room
"Girls!" she yelled as she walked in the play room "You're both about to go in time out if I have to come in here again" she said
"No!" Olivia yelled at her mother and folded her arm across her chest
"You don't tell me no" Rebecca said
"Uh oh" Ava said "You in trouble" she pointed her finger at her sister who smacked it away
"That's it.." Rebecca grabbed the little girl's hand in hers "Time out" she said as she began to walk away from the playroom and Olivia began screaming and threw herself on the ground
"NO!" She yelled and Rebecca shook her head
"You're just adding more time" she said and she picked the little girl up in her arms and began walking towards the stairs before turning around and walking over to Colby "Welcome home" she said and he smiled as he placed a kiss to her lips
Rebecca took a kicking and screaming Olivia up the stairs and Ava walked up to him and held the barbie out to him
"Daddy play?" she asked innocently and he smiled down at her as he grabbed the doll from her
"Daddy will play barbies with you in a minute" he said
"Fairies daddy" she corrected
"Okay, I'll play fairies with you in a minute, I gotta go check on your sister" he said running a hand through her dark brown hair
"Ella working" Ava said
"Ella's doing homework?" he asked and Ava nodded "I'll be back" he said and the little girl ran back to her dollhouse
He walked in the kitchen to see his eldest daughter sitting at the island with her head in her hand as she had papers all around her
"You look like you're just loving your life" he said and Ella looked up at him
"Do I have to do this?" she asked
"You homework? Yes" he said and she shook her head
"For what? I'm not gonna use it" she said
"You don't know that, you may need to know.." he looked at the book "How to classify the changes to the Earth's surface" he read and Ella looked up at him and shook her head
"This has nothing to do with wrestling at all" she said and he shook his head
"Ella, we've talked about this.. your mom and I both agree you can try wrestling when you're 18 if it's what you want to do but you still have to go to college"
"Why?" she whined and Rebecca walked into the kitchen
"Because, I went to college, Mom went to college" he said
"You hated it" she said to Rebecca and she nodded
"I did" she said "I wish I would have completed it now"
"What would you do with that now?" Ella asked and Rebecca shrugged
"Help you with homework" she said and Ella shook her head
"You're going to college and that's final" Colby said as he walked out of the kitchen "Now I've got to go play barbies with a three year old"
"Fairies!" Ava yelled and Rebecca laughed
"You would think he would know the difference by now" Ella said "One has wings!" she said
