The doorbell rang and Tiffany quickly let go of the ornaments she was holding, placing it haphazardly on the tree.

She pressed the button on the wall and smiled when she saw the young woman waving at the camera. She buzzed her in and shouted, "Our baby's home!" while running to the front door.

It was freezing cold so she had to hop in place while she waited for the visitor to cross the small garden.

As soon as she had her within reach, she pulled her into a tight hug, nearly suffocating her.

"Don't kill me on Christmas please, Mother," said the grinning Jiyoon in perfect English.

"Consider this your punishment for not letting us pick you up at the airport. I missed you," Tiffany said, loosening her hold. She then grabbed Jiyoon's face and checked her from top to toe. "Have you been eating well? You lost weight, didn't you? You look so skinny."

"I'm in perfect health and my weight is normal. This is why I rarely sent you pictures," joked the young woman, surrendering when she was pulled into a hug yet again.

"Hey, my turn!"

Taeyeon appeared behind Tiffany and the latter let go of their daughter so that Taeyeon could hug her too.

"Hi, Umma," greeted Jiyoon as she bent down to hug her mother.

"When will you stop growing?"

Jiyoon laughed. "I can't answer that." She then turned her head to see Tiffany dragging her luggage inside the house and quickly let go of Taeyeon so she could stop her. "It's okay, Mom. I'll do it," she said as she took the handle. "I hope you haven't turned my room into a gym or something."

"It came close to becoming your umma's gun room."

"Umma!" the young woman scolded Taeyeon jokingly.

"Hey, I need space for my other babies," Taeyeon defended herself and went back to the kitchen to make hot chocolate for her family.

Tiffany helped Jiyoon carry her things to her room and sat on the bed as she watched her daughter unpack.

"What time are we going to Haraboji's house tomorrow?" Jiyoon asked. "I have a lot of stuff for everyone."

"We'll get there before lunch and help Omoni cook," said Tiffany while chewing on the snacks Jiyoon had bought for her. "So how was freshman year?"

"You've seen my grades."

"I'm not talking about your grades. How was the whole experience for you? Studying aside."

Jiyoon shrugged, continuing to unpack in silence.

"Who is he?"

The girl paused for a split second but resumed her task nonchalantly. "Who's who?"

"Oh come on. You're telling me that no one has made a move on my gorgeous daughter?"

Jiyoon turned around. "I won't answer that question until Umma signs a legal agreement about not shooting any of the boys I dated, am dating or will be dating in the future."
