Prologue

I am not an author, I am a playwright. And as such, I apologize for my terms of expression. Bronte, you may roll over in your grave. I will not be full of hot air, like Jane. I promise not to do as Tolkien and describe every stone and pebble on the roads I walk. I promise to steer away from Cervantes, and deal in sanity, rather than madness. Aristophanes, I prefer lizards, and Joyce, if I ever am so blessed as to follow in your footsteps, I wish I would be somewhere other than a park bench.

I am not better than the aforementioned voices, in fact, I am far worse. But I promise you, dear reader, that I will write only what I am passionate for. I will not fill you with pages of idle thoughts and trivial pursuits, but rather, I wish to ignite in you the very flames I fan every day I live.

Enjoy,

-Ian G.
