A week later, Val hadn't uploaded the video yet. She'd done several others, all voice overs and one where she was ordering food from a McDonald's and used corny pickup lines on the guy behind the window.

Luke didn't like that one.

He only watched it once, and until the end to make sure the guy wasn't good looking.

He was though, and the complete opposite to Luke. He had dark hair and eyes, and tan skin.

It's silly but Luke thought about dyeing his hair briefly.

He won't admit to it if you ask him.

It was a rainy day in Sydney and he was watching Rick and Morty on Netflix with Petunia at his feet when his phone chimed.

He didn't recognize the tone and he was far too comfy to stretch out to the right to grab his phone. So he left it.

But a few seconds later, it went off again, and then again.

Luke was curious now, curious as to what app on his phone made that sound. So, disturbing a snoring Petunia, he leant over and unlocked his phone.

The sounds had been from TikTok, and he had unread messages.
