The Secret Garden

Mary's POV:

"Hmm~ Hmm~" i hummed as i watered my plants to start off my day. "Hmm~ Hmm~" i put down my watering can and smelled the fresh air

I smiled and went to the garden's shed to tend the plants. "Hello Number.8" the voice greeted. I paused and immiediatly regconized the voice "Hello Number.2" I greeted back

"How do you managed to keep this Garden lively?" Number.2 asked "i just took care if it, simple as that" i hummed
"Even the flowers blocking your eyes?"
"Even if the flowers are blocking my eyes"

She was silent as i tend my plants with caution. "Cant you just remove the flowers?" I stopped what i was doing and sighed "l.. well they'll just grow again after a week so it not worth it.."

After i tended the Garden i walked up to a patch of Golden flowers and sat in the bench behind it

"Well, Misaki would love this garden!" She gushed in her human form. I was silent, thinking what i should talk about

"Is there a reason why you wanted to visit this Garden?" I asked "oh, i just heard that this is a nice place to be in, i just wish Misaki was here.."

I patted her back in sympathy "its alright, Number.2" I said. She stood up and went to her fox form "well, thanks for letting me in! Number.8!" And ran off

I was alone in the peaceful garden. I walked up to the golden flowers, and took one flower.

"Hmm~ Hmm~" i hummed and twirl the flower in my hand "hmm~ hmm~" i put the golden flower in my hair and went to grab fertilizer

I took a pinch of the fertilizer and put it in the spot where i pulled the flower. I grabbed the flower i putted in my hair and twirled it around my fingers

"Hey Mary!" A voice chirped "Hello, number.7" i greeted "I heard Number.2 went to visit this Garden!"
"Mhm" i answered, twirling the flower in my hand

"I heard that Number.2 suggested to remove the flowers in your face"
"Mhm"
"And do you want to?" He asked "... i.. dont want to i guess.."i replied silently

"Hm? Why not?" He asked "it.. would be painful in quite a few ways, i dont want to hurt anybody or anybody to pity me"
I simply replied

"Well, why still call this Garden a 'secret'? When almost everyone goes this Garden?" I stood there in silence, thinking of an answer "This Garden has a few secrets dont no one knows.." i replied quietly

"Oh wh-- oh? Haku-joudai, what happened?" He asked the small red orb
"Yashiro and the boy are in trouble? Ok im coming"

He turned to me "want to come?" He asked. . . "A-are you sure?" I questioned, he grabbed my wrist and went to save Yashiro and Kou

After saving them...

"Why do you guys have to be in trouble when Im not around?" Number.7 asked "i dont know-"
"Hey! Arent you the lady that we saw in the Garden!?"

"Mhm" i said "just call me by my false name, Mary" i replied "but, i thought your supposed to be in the Garden?" Yashiro asked

"Number.7 dragged me" i replied. "Well, i'll be going no-"
"Can you atleast hang out with uss?" Yashiro suddenly asked "...why?"

"Well, you look alone being in that garden for..."
"5 decades"
"And we want you to hang out with us!" She chirped "...why do you suddenly asked me that?"

"Hey! Cant friends hang out with friends?" She said with determination "you can be at my classroom! Its okay if you dont talk to me--"
"Hey! How come she gets to be in your classroom and not me!?" Number.7 gasped

"Y-yashiro theres no need for me to be in your classroom.." i replied "She can go if, i can go!" Number.7 said "so, what will it be Yashiro?"

Me and Number.7 ended up being in the same classroom as Yashiro. As i looked around the classroom i sat in the window, reading a book.

"Alright, read page 37-39" and so on and so fourth. "Alright, class, freetime" the students footsteps were everywhere

"Nene-chan!" A voice greeted "Ao-chan!" Yashiro greeted back "so, did you visit the Garden?"
"Yeah! Its so pretty!"
"No need to compliment me Yashiro" i whispered in her ear "Mary, you know no one else can see us or hear us right?"

"Just in case, Number.7" i replied calmly "did you saw the guardian, Nene-chan?" Her friend spoke.

I leaned in Yashiro's ear "say no" i said
"Um No! Not at all!" Yashiro said
"Hm? She met you Mary, how come you let her say 'no'?" Number.7 asked "i just felt like i need to, Number.7"

"Pft, you can call me 'Hanako', Mary" Number.7 replied, i murmured. "Hm? Whats that? He asked "n-nothing!"

The class bell rang and its lunch time. "Mokke!" A voice said "Mokke!"
"These are the Mokke, Mary-san!"
"Flower lady!" They say. I chuckled

"Well i'll go now, goodbye" and i left the school. I went to the garden. I go to the golden flowers and and sat at the bench.

I looked at my garden, then at the sky. And let myself smile

Hanako's POV:

I let Yashiro eat her lunch with her friend and went to the garden to see Mary sitting at the bench.

"Hey Mary" i greeted "Mhm" she greeted back. I went beside her "mind if i take a seat?" I asked

"Sure" i sat down beside her "when are you going to remove the flowers in your face?" I asked "when Im ready to show everyone my face" she answered

"And when are you going to be ready?" I asked again. She was silent, and then she finally answered "i guess time will tell in this Secret Garden.."
