Val's POV

I was a little scared at what was going on right now.

The giant that looks like Max's dad picks up the cookie that we were on and was about to eat it.

We act fast and jump off of the cookie before the giant ate it.

Max, Lavagirl, and Sharkboy land on a cake with frosting while I land on the floor.

I stay on the floor for a while until I look up to see the giants walking away happily and holding hands.

I then turn to face the others, who got off the cake and having the front of themselves filled with frosting.

"Frosting." Lavagirl says in disgust.

I laugh a little at this.

"Once again, I'm glad it happened to you and not me." I say to them.

Sharkboy gives me a smirk before saying, "Do you want a hug?" He extends out his arms for a hug.

"No." I say as I step back. I don't want to have frosting all over me as well.

Sharkboy does a fake pout before smiling.

"Those giants almost look like my parents." Max says to us as he looks at the giants walking away.

"They seem happy together. Is that your dream?" Lavagirl asks Max.

"We had a dream we're family. It hasn't been coming true lately." Max says sadly.

I pat Max's back in comfort.

"Most dreams don't come true on their own. You have to make them true. It takes a lot of work. Not easy. But not impossible either." Lavagirl explains to Max.

It has been a while and the others were able to get the frosting off of them.

"Alright, Max, you've had your cookies and milk. Now go to sleep." Sharkboy says as we walk to a spot for Max to lay down.

"I'll try." Max says as he lay down.

"Go to sleep." Sharkboy says a little sternly.

"Not like that. Sing him a lullaby. Dream, dream, dream, dream." Lavagirl says before singing. "Your turn." Lavagirl says as she looks at me.

"Oh, no. I don't sing. I mean that's what I think. But no. You go." I say before looking at Sharkboy.

Sharkboy sighs before starting to sing.

"Close your eyes, shut your mouth. Dream a dream and get us out. Dream, dream, dream, dream, dream, dream. Hit the hay fast asleep. Dream a dream you little pleep. Dream, dream, dream, dream, dream, dream." Sharkboy starts to sing.

Out of nowhere, a shark motor bike appears.

"It's working! Keep it up, Sharkboy!"

"Just relax, lay about. Or my fist will put you out. Dream, dream, dream, dream, dream, dream. Take your time but beware. There's darkness in the air. Dream, dream, dream, dream, dream, dream." Sharkboy sings again as he dances a little bit.

Me and Lavagirl were smiling while watching him sing and dance.

Lavagirl then looks at Max while he's sleeping.

"Dream about me next, Max. I need to know who I am. Not just destruction or a simple flame. Dream of me as something good." Lavagirl says to Max.

We look up to see the darkness starting to come closer to us.

Sharkboy kept singing, but I didn't pay attention, for I was looking at the darkness.

"He's having a nightmare! Wake up, Max! Wake up! Stop that racket, Sharkboy! You're giving him nightmare!" Lavagirl says.

Lavagirl stands up, followed by me.

"Sorry, Max." Lavagirl says before firing lava at Max.

"Ow!" Max says as he gets up in pain. "What was that for?" He asks Lavagirl.

"Your nightmare was about me, wasn't it?" Lavagirl asks Max.

"I don't remember. But I did dream about one thing." Max answers.

"Plughounds!" Sharkboy yells as he points to a hill.

"Plug what?" I ask as I look at where Sharkboy was pointing.

I see Mr. Electric at the top of the hill with plug hounds.

We are in big trouble.
