"Okay Maggie, It's your turn to present." I got up from my seat and walked down the long stairs until I got to the teacher in the front. I laughed nervously as I tried getting the flash drive into his laptop. I stood up straight as I waited for it to connect and caught a glimpse of my roommate who had recently gotten into the class. Ted waved at me crazily as I just shyly waved and clicked on the slide.
"I did a student film with a couple of classmates who are sick. It was about a young lady who suddenly finds out she has powers, how original, right?" The teacher laughed.
"But It's also a coming of age story because she used them for evil until she does something that shows her evil is, well, evil." The class laughed as I started the movie. It went on for a couple minutes until porn started playing. My cheeks instantly flushed as everyone laughed. I quickly clicked out of the tab before saying sorry and rushing out of the class.
"Oh, that was hilarious." I heard someone's ya behind me. I turned and looked at Ted who straightened up right away.
"Oh come on, it was harmless." My eyes widened in realization.
"You did this?!" He stifled a laugh before nodding with a straight face.
"I am going to make your life a living hell from now on." He looked scared as I walked away furiously and out the door of the building making it to my dorm.
"This week just keeps getting worse and worse."
I waited in my room until it was close to my second class. I looked at the time and saw 6:14 and decided that I should get a move on it if I didn't want to be later than I usually am. I walked out of my room throwing on Ted's hoodie without realizing it.
"Maggie I'm-" I didn't hear him as I stuffed my earplugs into my ears and started to listen to butterflies by Samsa. I felt a tugging on my backpack but didn't care as I continued walking, not like I had anything valuable in it anyways.
"Okay class if you could get out your notes that we took yesterday then we can begin today's lecture." Everyone started rummaging through their backs. I unzipped my bag and saw some little Debbies powdered donuts on top of my binder with a sticky note attached.
"Sorry for the porn, didn't mean to. Thought it would have been funny but didn't notice that you wouldn't have checked the video before class. Can't wait to see the full movie tomorrow. Love your amazing roommate Ted."
How did he manage to get that all on the sticky note was beyond me but I smiled as I opened the donuts and ate them while taking down notes.
"You're lucky I love donuts," I shout as I walked into our dorm. He came rushing out.
"Thank the heavens you did. I didn't know what would have worked." I smiled and felt the sudden urge to hug him, and it seemed like he did too.
Cause the next thing that happened was us holding each other in bliss.
