Sometimes I need a person
But wishes don't come true
I think we all learned that long ago
When we were still innocent
All I want is someone to hug
But we don't get what we want
And if you disagree you're under a rock
Come out and witness reality, kid
I long for someone's love
But let's face it- that's delusional
I don't believe in love, and even if I did,
There's nobody here to love me
Every once in a while I need to smile
But what do I have to smile about?
Really, it comes down to faking it
And nobody wants a faker
We all want something out of life
But nobody's going to get it
If wishes all came true
The world would fall apart
