Chapter 5

You woke up and stretched, Nathan was still passed out on his bed.

You: "Nathan!"

Nathan groaned as he raised his head.

Nathan: "What!"

You: "Get the hell up!"

Nathan: "Why?!"

You: "What would it look like if we decided to be lazy?"

Nathan: "I'll get up later, you do whatever you want to do."

You sighed and Nathan went back to sleep, after you took a shower and got dressed you walked over to the cafeteria and got what was being served. Yumi saw you and waved you over, you went over and sat next to her.

Yumi: "Morning Y/N, sleep well?"

You: "Of course, I haven't had any experiences horrible enough to give me PTSD."

Yumi: "Thats good."

Masaru: "Um, Yumi, mind telling me who this is?"

You looked over at Masaru, your first thought was that he was incredibly lazy.

Yumi: "Oh right, Masaru this is Y/N, him and his friend joined yesterday."

Masaru: "Well, it's nice to meet you."

You: "Nice to meet you too."

Masaru: "Sooo, how did you join? Since you just showed up out of nowhere."

You: "To be honest I don't know the exact reason, but so far Rainbow seems to be better than our base back in Italy."

Yumi: "Italy? You were stationed in Italy?"

You: "Yeah, and one of my other friends is stationed in Japan."

Masaru: "Really? What's their name? We might know them."

You: "Ethan Park."

They took a few minutes to think about it.

Yumi: "I don't recall the name."

Masaru: "Same, never heard of him."

You: "Huh, that's weird."

You finally started eating and Nathan walked in and sat next to Masaru.

Masaru: "I'm guessing you're Y/N's friend?"

Nathan: "Yep, Nathan Wright, you?"

Masaru: "Masaru Enatsu."

Nathan: "Nice to meet you."

Masaru: "You too."

You finished your food and stood up, Nathan had an apple and stood up as well.

You: "We would love to stay and chat some more but we should get to training."

Yumi: "Alright, we'll see you all later."

She warmly smiled and you smirked to yourself as you turned away and walked toward the gym.

Nathan: "I saw the face you made, already catching feelings?"

You: "Of course not, seriously, if I already caught feelings I would become like you, and we both know how you feel about Caroline."

Nathan: "Shut up."

You laughed and he went dead silent.

Before you reached the gym you heard the intercom turn on.

Intercom: "May all operators report to the briefing room immediately, thank you."

You: "Guess we'll have to clear out our schedule today."
