The waning crescent moon smiled this night,

Sneaked into my room to show off it's light.

I accepted it's visit in my lonesome state,

And decided to stay awake until very late.

By the moon, I thought a little about a lot,

About my past, and the sadness it brought.

I wander about; however, I am not lost,

Just trying to escape reality at any cost.

Strangely I feel at peace within the chaos,

A feeling to which I do not know the cause.

Hours had passed, though I did not realize,

The moon was leaving before my eyes.

It was the suns turn to control the skies,

To clear the path of where my future lies.
