Another of the massive prehistoric megafauna that inhabits the world of Remnant, Kamacuras is an oversized praying mantis kaiju with the ravenous appetite of an entire pack of Beowolves. She belongs to a group of giant mantis creatures known as Gimantids, a combined word for "Giant" and "Mantis." You see Kamacuras is the largest of these creatures, which in can range in size from the size of a human to 50 meter tall giants. Kamacuras is essentially seen as the Alpha of these creatures, though she tends to be seen primarily by herself as she is just as likely to make a meal of her own species as she is any other creatures smaller then her, including humans and faunus. Kamacuras and her kind are predominately found in the forests of Vale and Mistral where they will camouflage in dense patches of trees and hills. They can remain motionless for hours at a time until a prey item wonders close enough to them, which they then strike quickly and suddenly. Very few have managed to avoid the claws of a Gimantid and lived to tell the tale.
