Ch. 20 "Cold"

                                                              Zoey POV

BANG BANG BANG! 

I heard on my door waking me from sleep, 

"Go away.." I mumbled putting my pillow on top of my head, 

"Zoey! wake up!" I hear Peter yelled 

"Go away!" I said 

Then I felt a wind brush by me and my covers were pulled off of me, 

I crack my eyes open to see the Twins, 

"She's alive!" Pietro said 

"Ugh, what do you want," I said 

"We wanna get to know you better so do you wanna come with us and get out of the tower?" Wanda said 

I sat up stretching my arms above my head, 

"Beats getting lectured left and right by everyone," I said standing up, 

I walk to the bathroom changing 

We were walking it was freezing out snowing it was beautiful, the more I talked to the twins and Peter the more I felt like I belonged, 

"And so what does Wanda do she blasts me that I felt like I landed into the future," Pietro said telling us a story how he scared Wanda and her reflexes, 

I laughed, 

"Sounds like you shouldn't scare her," I said laughing 

everyone else laughed until, 

"Help! Help!" A woman screamed 

we ran towards the scream, 

"Mam what's wrong?" Peter asked 

"My son he's stuck on the frozen lake and he's hurt!" She said 

we see a little boy no older that six crying in the middle of the lake, 

Peter went to walk but the ice cracked, I pulled him back, 

"You guys wait here I'll go," I said 

"What?" Pietro said 

"I'm lighter, and if I need you, you guys will be right here," I said 

they nodded 

I felt where the ice was most thick with my foot and stepped on it, then the same with the other foot, I carefully made my way to the boy till I was right in front of him kneeling in front of him, 

"Hi there my name is Zoey, what's you're name?" I said with a smile 

"Jay," He said with tears rolling down his face

"Well Jay me and my friends are going to help you okay," I said he nodded 

"Hey bug boy! I need a line," I yelled 

He nodded then shot a web towards me, I wrapped it around the boy's waist, 

"Now my friends are gonna reel you in, but you can't move okay." I said 

the boy nodded, 

"Now slowly reel him in!" I said 

Peter nodded pulling on the web, the twins helped I could feel the ice under my feet starting to give, but if I make a move as they are reeling him in it could travel to the boy and he'll fall through, I thought 

I see that they got the boy get to shore, 

as soon as I took a step I heard the sickening sound of the ice cracking, I looked down at my feet to see the ice giving, I look up making eye contact with Pietro next thing I know I'm under water, 

                                        Third Person POV

"Zoey!" Pietro yelled he went to run and get her but Wanda stopped him, 

"Brother no! you'll fall through!" She said 

"But Zoey!" Pietro said 

"What about Zoey?" They heard and seen Bucky, Steve and Tony

"What about what?" Peter said 

"You said Zoey what about her?" Bucky said crossing his arms 

"Well she sort of fell," Pietro said 

"Fell?" Steve said 

"Through there," Wanda said pointing to the ice 

"WHAT!" Both Steve and Bucky yelled 

                                    Zoey POV

I fell through it was so cold but not compared to cryogenic freeze, but it felt like a million needles stinging my skin, bubbles were filling the water as I swam as fast as I could until I knew I was at the edge of, I punched the Ice as hard as I could, a pulse of waves went through the water, I punched hard again, I see the ice slowly cracking, I was losing strength and oxygen, until finally it broke and I rose to the surface, gasping filling my lungs with air, 

I crawled out of the water slowly, laying on my back my breath ragged I was so cold to, I hear rushing footsteps, 

"Ive got her over here!" I hear a voice say 

My eyes are close I couldn't open them, 

"God she's freezing!" Another voice said 

"We need to get her to the lab now!" Another voice said 

                                     Steve POV

we looked everywhere for her, until Tony yells, 

"I've got her over here," Tony yelled 

we all rushed to see her laying on her back eyes closed 

I picked her up, 

"God she's freezing!" I said 

"We need to get her to the lab now!"Tony said
