Mask.
That's what a pretender used to wear.
Pretend that they are not hurt though they are bleeding inside.
Pretend that they are okay though they are  conquered by their own demons.
Pretend that they are strong though they are shattered into pieces.
Pretend that they are happy through partying though they are anti-social.
Pretend that they are cool though they are melting due to too much self-doubt.
Pretend that they can though they are swallowed by too much pressure.
Pretend that they are brave though they are afraid to face themselves.
Pretend that they are alive though they are really dead.
Pretend that they smile though the soul is suffering.
Deceiving facade. No one sees you being hurt. No one sees you cry. No one sees your pain.
