Yoongi blinked staring at the ceiling, damn he was bored. Jimin ended up falling asleep as Yoongi sat on the floor. As weird as it sounds he ended up watching the boy sleep for most of the night. He didn't have anything better to do, demons didn't sleep, but Jimin hadn't sent him back to hell yet.
Yoongi was pretty used to the dark but he hadn't noticed how dark Jimin's room had been. Until a loud bang and a voice yelling at Jimin to get up and get ready for school sounded. Jimin continued to sleep his blonde hair falling a tad to expose part of his forehead. Yoongi got up and flicked some of the parts of his hair that were sticking up finding himself with a smile on his face as the human let out small giggles in his sleep.
"JIMIN YOU LITTLE TWAT GET UP AND GET YOUR ASS TO SCHOOL!" A male's voice yelled followed by another loud bang and Jimin's doorknob violently shaking.
Jimin vaulted out of bed at the speed of light. "Yes sir!" He called running over to his dresser and throwing a random pair of pants and a shirt onto the bed. Jimin whirled around smacking right into Yoongi's chest. "Oh, you're still here?"
"Yeah?" Yoongi questioned. "You never sent me back so I'm still here."
"Oh... Can you... Face the wall?" Jimin asked holding his clothes in his hands. Yoongi rolled his eyes and turned around hearing Jimin's clothes rustle on before being allowed to turn around again.
Jimin continued to frantically run around his small room shoving some items in a bag and yanking shoes onto his feet. Jimin walked up to his bedroom door knocking on it. "I'm done, can I come out now?" And the door popped open.
Yoongi quickly slipped out the door behind Jimin making sure to not be seen by anyone other than Jimin. He watched as Jimin quickly shuffled down the hallway and into the living room where he bent down beside the couch and started gathering bottles from the floor. Yoongi watched Jimin perform his morning ritual, once his arms were full he dashed out the open front door. Jimin threw the bottles into the large blue recycling bin and started his journey down the street.
Getting tired of walking Yoongi extended his wings and flew up top Jimin's head. "Do all humans have a morning like that?"
Jimin shrugged. "Not all humans. But maybe people my age? Told you, don't have friends." He said checking the time on his cracked phone screen. "Ugh! I'm going to be late!" Jimin turned to Yoongi with a raised eyebrow.
"What?" Yoongi asked as he floated a few feet above Jimin.
"You have wings. Would people see if you carried me?" Jimin waved his arms signaling for Yoongi to come back down to the ground. Yoongi dropped back down and shrugged grabbing Jimin under his arms and beating his wings. "OW! OW! Put me down!" Jimin complained as Yoongi let go making Jimin land on his butt.
"You said to carry you!" Yoongi crossed his arms.
Jimin squinted his eyes. "Yeah but not like a corpse!"
"Then how am I supposed to carry you?" Yoongi huffed holding his arms out. Were all humans so picky about the way they needed to be held?
Jimin shuffled over to Yoongi leaning against one of his arms. "Okay now pick my legs up."
Yoongi did as he was told and scooped Jimin's legs up, the human being very light almost like a doll. Flying Jimin to school was an interesting experience, to say the least. Jimin got terrified once they got high enough in the air that if Yoongi dropped him his brain would splat onto the pavement like a pancake. Jimin squeezed his eyes shut which didn't work too well for giving directions, as you can imagine.
Somehow the pair had managed to make it to the school and Yoongi dropped Jimin back down on the pavement. The human kneeled on the ground rubbing the pavement. "Oh, the ground... I'll never take advantage of you... I so sorry I didn't care about you before." Jimin cried.
Yoongi rolled his eyes as he retracted his wings. "So dramatic." He commented.
Jimin finally got up and composed himself as he started to walk off to class. Yoongi followed closely behind him like usual, he'd never seen so many humans in one place. He knew no one could see him but he still took up space. Yoongi chuckled when a human would bump into him and turn around to apologize only to tilt their head in confusion. Yoongi enjoyed messing with humans but he also had to keep up with Jimin.
Jimin's first class of the day was math, which sucked because hardly anyone in the class was awake enough to function. He sat down and noticed Yoongi was still following him. The demon poked around the classroom picking things up on the teacher's desk before placing it back down.
Jimin took out his papers and started scribbling some stuff down as the math teacher entered. "Hello everyone! Please turn to page one-hundred-seventy-three. We are already behind! Midterms will be here before you know it!"
What is it with math teachers always complaining about being behind?
Yoongi continued to mess around the classroom, stealing a paper from the back of the class and throwing it at some random student.
The student held the back of his head as he whirled around to look at his peers. "WHOEVER THREW THAT PAPER-"
"YOUR MOMS A HOE!" Another student cut him off as the class chuckled.
"Jongyeol you have detention. No cursing in school. See me after class." The math teacher said crossing his arms and shaking his head in disappointment. "But who threw the paper. Come on fess up!"
The whole class sat silently and stared as Yoongi chuckled to himself. Then, of course, Jimin knew it was Yoongi and he was sitting still trying to look as normal as possible when in reality he looked more like he'd discovered a dead body under his bed.
"Mr. Park, why do you look so guilty?" The teacher asked, however, nine different kids started protesting to his accusation. "Alright, nevermind, now I want no funny business for the rest of the class!"

I was actually surprised when y'all said 2000 words for a long chapter, usually, when I write I think of chapter-length more like this.
Less than 1000: Extra Short
1000-2500: Short
2500-4000: Average
4000-5000: Long
More than 5000: Extra Long
And I'm assuming most of you have come from Glowing Gold/Heartbeat which are soulmate AU's which I view as short sweet and fluffy, hints: Chapters are short, the story is short, not much angst.
Then Winter Pillows which is set up to have extra short chapters but be spread out into lots of chapters. (140-200+)
But this is a fantasy AU. Which means as the plot shall thicken, so will the chapters. :)
And when new readers come across my books and read Glowing Gold first instead of Heartbeat part of me is kinda relieved because it's better written and more planned out.
