Chapter 4 : Misty Mountains

"you can stay here for the night... the Misty Mountains is a long journey, you need enough energy" Esmeralda said

The squad booked a beautiful gypsy like room with 3 huge beds for everyone. Badang decided to just sleep on the floor for he said it feels like home while Hanabi and Natalia shared in one bed. Even before everyone can get settled, Lancelot started kissing Alucard's nape then the two intensely grabbed each other until they both fell on the bed. They didn't go further after Badang yelled at them, asking them to go find another room and come back when their done.

The two just laughed and immediately left. Badang looked at Karrie and the two started laughing while Natalia and Hanabi just smiled at each other.

"where's Selena?" Karrie asked

"she was with Esmeralda the last time I saw her. I think they're headed to that temple on top of that hill" Natalia replied pointing at a temple visible from their balcony

"must be a mage thing, I should go to sleep. Will have a long journey ahead" Badang said

The rest of the squad comfortably snuggled into the their beds for the night and fell asleep. In the temple, Esmeralda asked Selena to remove her clothes before getting into the pool.

"you want me to go all naked?" Selena asked

"you have to be fully open if you wish to see the star's message" Esmeralda replied while slowly taking off her clothes

The two women went naked then dipped into the warm water. Selena felt a different kind of energy surging from the water. Esmeralda looked at her and smiled.

"you feel it don't you?" Esmeralda asked

"what is it? ... I feel a strong energy" Selena replied

"we call this place Stars Eye, this is the center of magic in the entire Stargate Valley. This is where my ancestors perform magic and astrology" Esmeralda replied

"why did you bring me here?" Selena asked

"I figured you have questions, in fact your squad has the same question ... I can only bring you as the only mage in your group... what is it, tell me" Esmeralda asked

"we are on mission to hunt a blood demon and rescue the Queen's brother" Selena replied

Esmeralda stood up and took Selena's hands. She asked her to look up in the night sky and slowly close her eyes. Selena felt the surge of energy flowing from her toes going up to the sky. The astrologer then started to speak gibberish words that Selena thought as enchantments.

"now ... slowly open your eyes ..." Esmeralda whispered

Selena slowly opened her eyes and there she saw the night skies full of stars. Bright light going up to the sky creating an image of something familiar to her.

"the night sky tells all..." Esmeralda said

Images randomly appeared in the sky. Selena recognized that it was the battle of The Barren Lands. She also saw the infant Dyrroth when Alice took her and when the blood demon struck a gem into the heirs chest to become part of the Abyss. Then she saw Alice in the east, with someone Selena do not recognize. The light disappeared and the sky went blank again.

"I don't understand, I only saw the battle that happened centuries ago" Selena said

Esmeralda smiled and slowly caressed Selena's face. Full of curiousity, Selena looked at Esmeralda and asked her again through her eyes.

"the stars showed us the answer but it is for us to understand the message .... I saw the images, there's only one place that the stars keep on showing" Esmeralda said
