At a young age, Armin is disowned for being gay and is rejected by the town. He is taken in by Annie, a local judge, despite her distaste for him. He never leaves the clock tower of Notre Dame, as Annie has told him he is a monster. However, one day a festival comes to town and he sneaks out, where he meets a gypsy named Eren who treats him like a human. He finds himself quickly falling for Eren and vice versa.
