Just a quick warning before this chapter, it does go into topics such as suicide. It's a very serious thing and quite a sensitive one. So if you feel the need to skip ahead to Paul's pov go ahead. Enjoy 😊
Gracie's pov
I walked over to Zacs, he invited me over for a hang out we usually do it so I wasn't bothered with it.

I walked down threw the old neighbor hoods, examining the old mossy bricks holding the houses together.

I walked threw a small bushy area, but then something peculiar caught my eye.
"John?"
Why's John here?
I don't know who he is though?

But it's John.... John from work.
I saw him standing at a tree a cigarette in hand.
He had one of those narky yet smiley faces.

His eyes were drawn to me.
"Gracie!"
"John? What are you doing here?"
"Who's John grace?"
"Don't call me grace, only Zac calls me grac-"
As I blinked for a split second it was Zac, not John.
"Who's John?"
I shook my head, it started getting hazy.
"Who's John?"
"Who's John?"
He came closer and closer to me.
"John. I don't know?"
I said.
"That's my girl."
"What?"
I got a head ache for a second.

I fell to the floor, this simple yet achey head got worse.
"Gracie luv! Are you ok."
This time it was Paul, he kneeled down to pick me up.
"Paul? Why are you here?"
He looked at me with pure concern.
"Who's Paul?"
I pushed this person off of me.
"Your not Paul... or John. Who are you?"
"It's Zac! Zac! Gracie? Hello? I'm going to do it."
"Do what?"
He grabbed onto my shoulders jerking my body to his houses direction, it was zacs house.

All the bushes and trees cleared so I could clearly see his house, and his window his bedroom window.

I saw him... but then who was holding me?
"You see that?"
Then Zac appeared through his window, I could see that he was pacing.

"Back and fourth, back and fourth."
The person said keeping a hard firm grip on my shoulders.
"Any minute now."
I struggled a bit, but this person holding me held even tighter, my shoulder blades felt as though they were going to pop out.
"Watch!"
I looked, but then Zac fainted, then I remembered what today was.

The day I dreaded the most, the day I thought I'd never re live.
"Zac!!"
I felt the grip realise, the person was gone.

And all my surroundings vanished, all I could see was zacs house.

Then I saw a girl, no.
I saw me.

I saw myself running to his house, I watched as I ran to his house.

Until I saw myself in his room.
Then of course that scream.

That gut renching scream.
I found Zac dead.
"No! ZAC!"
I ran to his house.
"That's right. Hessssss dead!"
I heard a voice.
"No... no. Not again."
I sprinted to his house.
"Gracie?"
"Gracie..."
"Gracie?!"
I shot up.
Paul's pov
I walked to the florists picking up some Daisy's. They were beautiful, just like Gracie.

I smiled, remembering the night before.
I had the greatest time.

Of course John and George payed me out about it all night.

Ringo couldn't be bothered though, which I'm most greatful for.
I remembered holding her hand.

And when she.
When she-

When she kissed my cheek!
That sent me into cloud nine!

Just wait until I kiss her.
Oh god just the thought.

I turned a corner, it was her street.
I decided I'd take her to work this morning.

Since she basically works for me, and kind of with me.

I walked up the apartment building, personally remembering her room and number.

I got to her door and knocked twice.
I tapped my foot on the floor waiting.

I knocked again.

No answer.

"Gracie?"
"Gracie..."
Nothing.

But then, I heard a loud scream.
I jumped.

It caught me off guard.
I kicked the door once.
"Gracie?!"
I kicked the door twice.
"GRACIE?"
I kicked it three times, but the third as hard as I could.

I felt my leg jar, and my jeans rip.
"Fuck."
But the door opened.

I threw the Daisy's to the side and ran straight to her room.
I saw her asleep drenched in what seemed to be sweat.

I shook her.
"Gracie..."
"Gracie?"
"Gracie?!"
She shot up.

She was huffing and puffing, but she hadn't looked at me yet.

"P-p Paul?"
"Yes?"
"Are- are you real?"
I was taken aback.
"Well I hope so."
I said patting my chest down.
But when I looked her in the eye, those once beautiful eyes.

They were full of fear and pure concern.
"Yes I'm real."
"I had the most terrible dream!"
She said jumping into my arms.

I didn't hug her back at first, but I threw my arms around her back.

Despite the situation I melted into the embrace.

I blushed slightly when I realised she was just in a bra and nickers.
But she didn't seem to care.
"It's ok darling, everything's going to be ok."
She sniffled and hugged me tighter.
"What's the time?"
I looked down to my wrist watch.
"Nearly nine luv."
"Shit!"
She jumped up and ran to her closet.

She dragged some jeans out and jumped into each leg.
"Fuck, fuck, fuckkk."
She then got a blouse and chucked it over her head.
After that, she ran to the kitchen and grabbed her purse.
"Coming?"
"That was the most chaotic, stressful thing I've ever seen all day. But yet you still look so beautiful."
She smiled.
She brushed her hair roughly.
"Wait! I should clean my face."
"Take your time, Brian has a soft spot for yours truly."
She smirked.

She walked to the bathroom and I heard the tap go on.

It was strange.
I came here, and she was screaming.
She asked if I was real?
She was in a pool of her own sweat.

But now it's like nothing happened at all.
"Ok now I'm ready."
"Are you sure your alright?"
"Yeah why?"
"What do you mean why? Are you mental? You were screaming a second ago."
"Just a bad dream Paul. Really. I'm fine."
She said holding my hand, rubbing it with her thumb.
"Ok..."
I didn't believe her though.

When I was a boy, and mother was sick.
Everytime she'd come home.

I'd make sure it'd be my duty to ask if she was ok, if she was recovering.

And every single time. She's smile, rub my cheek look me in the eye.
And tell me not to worry.
And that she was getting better every day.

I believed every dam word.

And I guess that's why it hurt even more when she died.

I looked into Gracie's eyes.
"Paul. If anything was wrong I'd tell you."
I nodded and took her hand again.
"If there is anything-"
"You'll be the first to know."
I nodded and left.

She started laughing.
"What?"
"Your- Your- pants!"
She said laughing so hard.

I looked down and saw the quite big rip in them.
I chuckled.

"This rip, this very rip in my jeans represents how much I care for you."
"How so?"
"I'll tell you one day."
"One day."
