Gracie's pov

I walked downtown in my free time at work, I had finished work Brian had assigned me.

So pattie suggested we went shopping, over a week pattie and I had grown closer and closer.

After I abandoned my home town, without a word.

I left all my best friends. But when my parents didn't call or look for me.

I figured they never wanted to see me.
Flash back
5months ago
I ran down the station, I had gotten off of the train and was now on the run. My eyes were stinging. I can't remember a time I haven't been crying.

Everyone I meet shows sympathy, I ran away from his funeral.

I couldn't handle anymore of the
"Are you ok?"
"I'm so sorry!"
"He's in a better place now."
My head throbbed at the thought.

I ran out onto the streets, I have no money, no clothes.

I came with nothing. It was freezing and I was still on my funeral clothes. But just as I though I'd be fine rain started poring down.

I have no where to go, no one to go to.
I ran over to a bench and laid down on it.

Trying not to flash, I placed my head upon the hard wet wooden planks of the seat, and cried.

I regretted everything, I can't handle this.
Why did I run?
I'm such a coward!
How am I going to survive!

I shivered as the rain hit down on me hard.
Then I heard footsteps.

I saw four people walking, they all walked right past me but one.

He ran to me.
I couldn't make out what he was saying but he handed me money.
"Are you ok luv?"
I didn't respond, I took the money and ran the opposite way.

As generous as that man was, I don't want anyone to see me like this.

So I did what I'm best at, I ran.
I didn't see the man, my vision is blocked up with tears and rain.
I took my flats off so I could run faster.
Flash back over.

"Gracie?"
Pattie exclaimed waving her hands in front of my face.
"Yeah sorry?"
We sat down on a bench.
I shut my eyes, this was that bench.
"So you and Paul?"
She asked chuckling.
I chuckled and pushed her slightly.
"No no no..."
"Nawwwh you totally are a thing!"
"I'm not sure patts he hasn't said anything, but we seem to be quite close."
She smiled.
"I love that, we're like both dating a beatle!"
I smiled and nodded, I was a bit taken aback with that memory.

It's quite strange really, it's almost like I haven't re lived that memory since it actually happened.

I smiled, how nice that man was to give me some money.
It got me back on my feet.
That generous act helped me start this life.
"Oi Gracie? You keep going off to la la land."
I chuckled.
"So you and George?"
She smiled.
"Yeaaaa, but we've been a thing for a while."
"How'd you two meet?"
"On the set of a hard days night, but I was dating someone at the time. He asked me out for a drink. And I said no. But at the premiere I was single and he asked me then. I said yes! And here we are today!"
I smiled and wrapped my arm around her shoulders.
"How beautiful."
She smiled and we got up, swinging our arms around laughing and talking about boys and what not.

Pattie was carrying some bags with new clothes.
I had been making food money from my new job, so even I got A few nick nacks.

Paul's pov

I paced up and down the studio, I had convinced Brian to get Gracie out of the studio for a bit so I could ask the lads something.

Pattie and Gracie has become quite close, I'm glad that she has another girl to talk to and hang out, not that I'm any expert on that kinda stuff.

I'm not usually this soppy, but recently Ive seen a change in Gracie.

We haven't spoken about the kiss, or the fact I opened up to her about me mum and my feelings.

I could never talk to Jane about that kinda stuff, every time I'd try to open up to her, she'd shut me down.
"Oi Macca, stop pacing and tell us what's got ya like this."
I nodded and walked in.
George was sitting on a table and ringo was talking to him.
"So?"
John asked.
"I don't know if I should ask Gracie out."
I blurted out.

John let out a laugh.
I hit him.
"Aye!"
"What? Don't laugh!"
"You've gone all soft mate!"
"No, I just really want to ask her out... but I feel like. I don't know. Usually I'd shag a bird and no hard feelings. But with her... I don't know."
"Listen now and listen good, this is as soft as I'll ever get for you. Just ask her mccharmly! Do what Ye heart says to do!"
I nodded and walked out.
"Oh shit-"
Gracie's pov
Pattie and I laughed and walked back into the studio.
We hear the lads chatting, Pattie stopped me.
"Wait! Let's listen in."
"Pattie we can't!"
We both heard my name.
"Never mind lets listen!"
Pattie chuckled and we tip toed over to the door so we could listen.
We heard this.
"I don't know if I should ask Gracie out."
My eyes widened as I heard this.
Pattie hit me several times.
"Oh my god luv! There talking about you!"
"Shhh. Listen."
"Aye!"
I smiled as I heard what he felt for me, I really did feel the same way. And and-
"Pattie?"
Pattie has disappeared.
Before I could I heard the door open.
"Oh shit-"
Paul said as he came out seeing me.

We were both silent.
Until I said.
"Yes."
"What?"
He said.
I could tell he was embarrassed.
"Yes I'll go out with you!"
"Really?"
"Yes really!"
He smiled and I jumped into his arms.

As I looked over his shoulder I saw pattie looking over the door frame giving me one of her famous smiles.

I rolled my eyes and she left.
Paul pulled back.
"Y'know id love to get to know Ye Gracie, everything! Your whole life story!"
"That's a tough book to read."
"Yeah and I want to read the whole bloody thing."
I smiled and we remained eye contact.
