Some Dream

He was the man he loved so much,

He never felt this way before he met him. He was so surreal that made his heart flutter thousands of thousands of beats.

But why did these things matter to him so much? He was not quite sure why, but he knew that this fleeting love would soar high to the sky. He let out a sigh, his breath just barely above whisper to the afternoon rays of the scorching sun.

He never felt so loved before, surely he had felt this love from his friends and family but never in his life that this love was so romantic. It made him so giddy inside that he could not contain his undying happiness.

He felt like floating to cloud nine. The man he loved, the very man who changed his mind set of love was the same man who loved him dearly.

He chuckled at that. He was so out of it that he did not realize he was outside of his home--correction; their home.

He hugged the contents of his brown paper bag as he, unbelievably, skipped from his sidewalk to his porch. The sweet smell of flowers invaded his nose as he sighed at the heavenly scent.

He must have planted new flowers today. He knocked the door thrice and no time sooner, he heard sounds from the inside of the house.

His smile grew larger as the footsteps became louder. He silently squealed in delight when the man opened the door and was attacked by the man outside into a hug.

The man inside had his eyes widen in surprise but only for a quiet moment before they soften at that. He wrapped his arms around the younger man's torso and lay his head on his chest, inhaling his natural scent with a small hint of cologne.

He looked up from the man who was out of business for the past three weeks and gave him a small smile. The man outside had his chocolate brown eyes brimming with tears, he nuzzled his nose to his lover and smiled as well.

He loved those times, times where he woke up to the morning with his lover beside him. When they were blanketed by the soft covers and whisper sweet nothings to each other.

Those times were his happiest, the most memorable of times in his young life.

Then he slowly fluttered his eyes open. Ah, that dream again, he thought as he sat up on his bed.

He sighed, rubbing the sleepiness away from his face as he turned his head to the window. It was peaceful as it was starting to brim with light from the sun's rays.

He looked around in his room as he combed out his fringe away from his face. It was always quiet during these times that he sometimes wished that it was like this throughout the morning.

He swung his leg to the side and stood up. He stretched out his arms as he loudly opened his bedroom's door.

It was slightly dark in the house as he flipped the switch to brighten the place a bit. He looked around, the place was small but cozy to his liking as he walked to the open kitchen.

How long has it been since he last saw that freak? He thought to himself as he poured himself a glass of water.

He took a small sip before placing it on the wooden table and began gathering some more ingredients for his breakfast. He was now in his last year of college and he couldn't wait to find a proper job and get out of the little town he grew up from.

He glanced at the clock, maybe he should go for a walk today. After he ate breakfast and cleaned up his mess, he took out a jacket that was hooked near the entrance and slipped on his shoes before unlocking the door.

The cold breeze greeted him quietly as he stepped out of his apartment. He pulled up the hood over his head as he began walking down the stairs and started walking to the small park near his place.
