Amethyst.
Right. Right. Obviously, Vaye would be the queen of vampires. I mean, her appearance says it all. And by the way the vampires treated her, it's becoming more obvious. They treated her with so much respect. I even wanted to slap myself. She's the queen! Of course, she is! Wade even called her queen! Vaye chuckled slightly at my now red face.

Dang it. I've never been so humiliated before.. Wait no, this can't compare with what I had to go through back at hell. This may be already hell but the legit hell is where my 'family' is. Okay, this is a piece of cake. It's just a little mistake, nothing more, nothing less. Hopefully, I stop embarrassing myself in front of this gorgeous vampire queen. Now that I think of it, she kind of reminds me of Marceline. And Marceline's the vampire queen!

I chuckled to myself, what a strange coincidence.

You're surrounded by vampires, yet you're thinking about a fictional character?

Oh. I should probably freak out, right? That's the normal way to react, I think?

Well, that is how people would react when encountering something like this.

But I don't feel the need to freak out. I've liked vampires and now that I've learned they're real, I might as well take the opportunity to get to know these creatures.

Are you kidding me right now?

What?

Pearl didn't reply anymore so I'm assuming she's not co-conscious.

"Done talking to yourself?" I jumped in surprise.

"Oh! Ye-Yes!" I stammered from the shock. Vaye chuckled and clapped her hands. Other vampires sat on the table with us. The doors opened and people with trays filled with food approached us. "So, what do you eat?" Vaye asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Well.. I like ice cream and I guess chicken will do." Vaye nodded and clapped her hands once more. "Servants! Serve this girl some chicken!" Wait, I'm a servant too, right? Shouldn't I be with them?

"You're my servant. Exclusively, mine. Which means you have to be by my side at all costs. You take no orders from no one but me." Vaye answered my unasked question, again. A plate of chicken was placed in front of me. I smiled and thanked the girl.

I stared at the chicken before my eyes widened. I looked away from the chicken while pinching my nose. Vaye noticed this and gave me a confused look.

"Does it smell funny?" I furiously shook my head.

"No, it smells great. It's just.. I might trigger Sapphire." I stated, still avoiding the chicken. Vaye nodded and took a piece of the chicken. She then faced me.

"If I feed you, will that still trigger her?" Vaye asked.

I blushed, she wants to feed me? Isn't that something lovers do? I don't know, what if there's poison in the chicken? What if I'm falling right into her trap like Wade? If she feeds me, does that mean she likes me? Is this what masters do to their servants? Should I feel special? God, my heart is beating so fast right now. I can feel myself blushing harder.

"Stop thinking too hard, it's starting to give me a headache." Vaye groaned.

I gave her a sheepish smile, "I'm sorry, I can't help it. I think too much."

She sighed, "Look, the way I treat you is none of your business, alright? And this chicken is not poisoned, I tasted it myself. Now, open your mouth." I reluctantly opened my mouth and a spoonful of chicken went in. I moaned in delight, this chicken tastes wonderful!

Vaye paused when she heard my moan. I could tell her red eyes turned a darker shade of red. She licked her lips and continued spoon feeding me.

After spoon feeding me, Vaye ordered Wade to take me to her office. I didn't know why but I just went with it. I'm kind of glad that breakfast is over. I was nervous the whole time because I thought Sapphire might take over.

Are you really nervous about me taking over or is it because of a vampire lady feeding you?

I think it's because of a certain vampire.

Shut up!

I blushed and continued to follow Wade, silently. We stopped at a fancy looking door. Wade faced me, "This is her office. You may go in now." She stated, opening the door. As I entered the room, Wade called my name.

She approached me with a sigh, "I.. Wanted to say I'm sorry for lying to you. I'm really sorry." I eyed Wade and saw her sincerity. I guess she's a good person- um vampire. Wait, is she a vampire? Her eyes aren't really red..

"Um, Wade?"

"Yeah?"

"Are you a vampire?" She smiled at me and nodded. I frowned and tilted my head in confusion. "Why don't you have red eyes though?" I asked, leaning closer to her face. I wanted to observe her eyes more.

She chuckled, "Vampires can change eye color. This is my normal eye color."

"But why are Vaye's eyes red?"

"She's our queen so her normal eye color is red. But her eyes also change color, she just doesn't like changing it." I nodded, understanding it.

I didn't notice that our faces were still inches away. I looked into her eyes while she looked into mine. I could feel my heart beating loudly. I gulped but I did not break eye contact.

Wade was silent for awhile as her eyes roamed my face. I think she was searching for something but I did not know what. I could hardly tell what's going on in her mind. And what's worse is she can read my mind. I noticed that she was closing the gap between us. My eyes widened. I didn't know what to do, I was frozen! If I made a move, it's either our lips touch or our lips don't.

I had a feeling that whatever we were doing was wrong. I didn't know but I felt pain in my heart like this isn't the right person. I feel like I'm cheating on someone. What's wrong with me? I closed my eyes tightly when I could feel Wade's breath on my lips. She was going to place her lips on mine when she was suddenly thrown to the wall.

I gasped as Wade fell to the ground, groaning in pain. Before I could do or say anything, Vaye suddenly appeared. She was pinning Wade against the wall with her hands on her neck. Vaye's eyes were pitch black as she glared at Wade. The ground started shaking as Vaye spoke.

"What are you doing to my mate?"
