The hours of the next morning ticked by so slowly that she wanted to pull her hair out of her scalp. It was a miracle she was able to even sleep decently the night before. The coldness of her cell and the rats running around along with the smell of decay wasn't the most pleasant way to end her night.Nor not knowing what the heck was happening.
Did Merlin find any solution? Was Arthur going to win?Or what if Valiant killed him? Then what would happen?Would he rule over Camelot? And if he did then what would happen to her?
Endless negative thoughts kept running around in her head. She had to look on the good side. But where was it?It was a dead end.And without anyone telling her anything yet she didn't know what to think. It didn't take her long to start pacing around in her cell.
One or two guards would pass occasionally giving her an odd look before going about their business.
She had to make sure things were okay. But how?Gaius and Merlin were off the picture for certain. She wasn't even sure if Guinevere could help her in this. And Arthur, well Arthur was busy not being killed.Dammit all!
As she kicked the ground in frustration a bit of dust raised in the air, making her cough lightly. She sighed heavily as she placed her hands on her waist. She looked as the dust raised and danced under the light of the sun.
Suddenly an idea popped on her head. She returned to the bars of her cell and looked left and right. No guard. She then sat crossed legged down on the mattress on the floor. Her back turned to the cell door. She then placed her hands on the cold stone, palms spread out.
She closed her eyes and evened out her breathing, her heart rate coming to an even beat.
She tried to remember the spell and quietly chanted under her breath. She was often proud of her training with the druids. Those kind of spells were easy to do but required a lot of concentration to achieve and after it's completion your brain definitely needed a break before doing it again.
Her sight suddenly shoot froward and penetrated the rocks and ground, traveling miles under earth, seeing dirt and dead grass long forgotten, corpses decomposed and skeletons resting in what they thought peace. Her sight finally reached sand surface. In slow motion clashing of swords and cheers from people filled her eyes and ears.Sweat and yells coming left and right. The image wasn't clear, she could barely even make out who Arthur and Valiant was. With a swing of a sword her sight returned back to her with a gasp. The fight wasn't over then yet.
It had been some time she had used this kind of magic and somehow it exhausted her.Druids used this to make sure their camps were safe from threats or large beasts, and according to them it was a clear image. But for her apparently not yet.She wasn't that powerful.Or maybe because she was looking for a scene quite away from her,she didn't knew. What she knew though was that her world was ever so slightly spinning and she needed to rest.
She turned herself around and leaned her back against the wall, her knees bend and her arms resting against them as she looked at the ceiling, breathing heavily.
And now came the long process of waiting. And it was literally long. The sun was gone and she feared she was forgotten. Not even the guards doing rounds said anything about the fight and if they did, their voices were so hushed she had to strain herself to listen but with no luck. And seeing as nobody had came for her all those hours she knew she was forgotten down here.
Before the negative thoughts could consume her mind the door to her cell opened and a guard stepped in."The King requests an audience with you."he said steadily and stepped aside. She blinked a few times to make sure she wasn't mistaking him for a dream or worse a hallucination.
An audience with the King? She didn't knew if that was good or bad.Or maybe both. She slowly raised herself from the cell and exited steadily, looking at the other guard that had just joined her company. She patted herself to at least look a bit presentable in front of him.Not that she cared about it but with do much dust in there she could even tell she needed a bath.
