Tessa
"I want everyone in the pit. two minutes."
"There are two stages of training. The first is physical. Push your body to the breaking point, and you'll master the methods of combats. The second is mental. Again, breaking point. You'll face your worse fears and conquer them unless they get you first. You'll be trained separately from the Dauntless- born, but you'll be ranked together After initiation, ranks will determine what jobs you move into. Leadership, guarding the fence, or keeping the factions from killing each other." Four spoke.
"The rankings will also determine who gets cut," Eric says causing me to look up at him.
"Cut?"
"At the end of each stage of training, the lowest- ranking initiates will be leaving us," Eric said, "There's no going home to your families , so you'd live factionless."
"Why didn't we know that?"
"Its a new rule." He
"A new rule? somebody should have told us about that,"Christina says.
"Why? would you have chosen differently? out of fear? I mean, if thats the case, you might as well get out now. If your really one us, it wont matter to you that you might fail. Now you choose us. Now we get to choose you," Eric told us.
"Statistically speaking, you should have hit the target at least once by now. Even by accident. Hey. What do you got? Factionless. not doing anything. Check it out, stiffs. That's gonna be your new family." Peter said. "Go say "hi"," he teased.

"Ready for some real Fighting?"
"Not even close!"
"First jumper," Eric called out. "Which one? Me or Tris." I asked. "You, Now lets go in the ring." Eric said. "Let's see what you can do," he spoke again.
"Last jumper! Time to fight!" He exclaimed as if he was excited for this.
"How long do we fight for?" I asked.
"Till one of you can't continue. Or one of you concedes. According to the old rules." Four says watching as my face goes straight.
"New rules, no one concedes," Eric smirked. "You really want to lose 'em on their first fight?" Four asked the blonde male.
"A brave man never surrenders," Eric looked at me while he spoke. "I'm a female," I mumbled while Eric gave me a stern look. "Lucky for you those weren't the rules when we fought." Four says .
"You'll be scored on this, so fight hard. Go!" Eric shouted.
"Don't be scared stiff." Peter said. I hit the other person. "Nice Tessa!" Christina says
"Nice, yeah," the other people were yelling.
"All right guys over here, listen up. We grade you every day. If your still in the red by the end of the first stage, you're out." Four told us. "I'm never gonna make it." Tris says with a frown.
"Yes you will, I'll make sure of it, I'll help you. We all will, Right guys?" I tried to cheer Tris up. "Of course, we will help you," Christina smiled at us.
"Guys. I'm the weakest one here," she frowned once again. "Then you'll be the most improved." Christina said. "Your Candor, Your not supposed to lie," Tris said while I chuckled. "I was Candor, and I'm not lying!" Christina defended herself.
"Tris, even if they cut you, I'm pretty sure mom, and dad would take you back," I reassured her. "No, it doesn't work like that. even if they wanted to, their faction wouldn't allow it," Will added in.
"Even if our parents did take me back, I wouldn't belong their anymore." Tris said. "This is getting depressing," I sighed. "Yeah," Al co-signed.
