Get Away from my Boy
Tony had another rough day at school. He'd been dreaming about vampires for weeks. The same dream over and over. He'd become slightly obsessed with them. He would talk about them in school and constantly got made fun of because of it. Even the teacher was kinda mean to him, that little fact honestly infuriated me. How can that man be allowed to teach, I would think whenever Tony told me about his days at school. He sat at his chair and desk coloring an amulet he'd seen in his dreams, I was laying on his bed in my wolf form watching him. He would look up to stretch and see if I had gone into another room or not. Whenever he did this I would get off his bed and walk to him, sniff his hand and lean in to him, then go back to his bed. I did it to reassure him he wasn't alone. Eventually I laid next to his chair for a snooze.
About fifteen minutes later his parents came in to say goodbye to him before they went to a party at the McAshton's house and talked to him about his drawings. I watched as he made fake vampire teeth a little while after they had left and woofed lightly as I heard the baby sitter approach his door. She turned the lights back on and she pretended to be frightened when she heard Tony hiss.
"Ooh Tony, what a fright you gave me! I didn't see you sittin' there," She said with her thick Scottish accent. "Ooh you near stopped my heart, you did!" She said something else but I didn't understand it because her accent was so thick. I liked her a lot, especially since she played along with him whenever she saw him in his vampire costume. She was getting his bed ready for him to go to sleep while she spoke to him. She finished and began to walk out the door of his bedroom.
"Now brush your teeth and into bed." She said as she closed the door behind her. Tony grabbed the side of his cape and pulled it over his mouth after the door had been shut.
"Bed for the undead?" He questioned with a hiss. I woofed in amusement and turned to my human form. I walked over and tickled his sides. He laughed as I picked him up.
"My little vampire brother." I said with amusement. He smiled wide at me and laughed.
"My big werewolf sister." I smiled and placed his forehead to mine then ruffled his hair and set him back on the ground. As I leaned against his bed and watched him play vampire, chanting an incantation from his dreams, something flew into his fire place and a light flashed. I immediately stood and placed myself directly in front of Tony. I followed his movements as he pushed me forward, to keep myself between him and any possible danger, as he slowly walked towards his fire place. And to our surprise, a boy that was only a foot or less taller then Tony was sitting in the fireplace with his back against the fire place walls. But I could tell this boy was anything but human. He smelled different and his nose was that of a bat, until he smacked the back of his head and it turned to a normal human like nose. The boy spotted Tony and spoke quietly.
"What clan are you from brother?" He said with a slight pant. He seemed to not even notice me. He said something else but I couldn't hear what he said except for the word "light". Tony opened his mouth in surprise and his paper fangs began to fall out as he stepped out from behind me.
"Who are you?" He asked frightenedly. The boy stared at him for a moment then his face distorted in anger and his upper lip lifted to reveal his fangs.
"You are not a brother." He said.
"Well, I'm not a sister." Tony said sarcastically. I smiled slightly. I taught you well little man.
