Rudolph
The next day I woke up to Dottie ripping the curtains open. My wolf eyes strained against the sudden light as Tony told his mom about a dream he had about flying. When Dottie left I stood on my paws and jumped to the floor, shaking my body to fluff any bed matted fur out, as I did this, Tony ran to open the trunk at the foot of his bed to check on Rudolph.
When Tony left for school and Dottie left to go do some exploring after filling my food bowl and water bowl and Bob went to work, Rudolph and I were left alone. I closed the curtains and knocked on the chest.
"You can come out and stretch if you want." I said as I began to stretch. He opened the trunk and stretched. We looked at each other and nodded. I turned to walk upstairs and change like I normally would. This time into my black skirt, my moon child shirt, and the black sneakers I had bought. Rudolph must've gotten curious about the secret room, because after I had changed into my clothes, a knock was heard at my door. I walked over to my balcony doors and closed the curtains, then turned on all the lamps in the room so I could see, and then opened my door for Rudolph. His wide curious eyes looked around my room.
"A secret sleeping chamber within a sleeping chamber?" He said with his accent, that sounded more English then Scottish. "How odd." I shrugged my shoulders and nodded as I walked over to my vanity.
"Yeah, I guess it is kind of weird. But I mean, you're a vampire and I'm a werewolf, so weird things shouldn't really surprise us." I said as I brushed my hair. Rudolph walked up behind me and picked up a picture of my mother and father and other family and pack members.
"Who are these people?" He asked. I smiled sadly. As I looked at the picture, staring at my mother and father.
"That's my family. This woman right here is my mother," I said pointing to her. "And this is my father, these are my cousins, and these are my mothers pack members. This was taken before my siblings and I were born." I said as he set the picture down and picked up one of me, Cora and Laura.
"Siblings?" He asked. I nodded.
"Yeah, the taller one right here is Laura, she was the oldest. And this is Cora, she was born about four or five years before me." I said, smiling at memories that flitted through my brain of the three of us having fun sister times.
"You keep saying 'was', did something happen to them and your family?" He asked. A slight pained expression crossed my face but I lightened up a little bit once the sad feeling passed.
"Well, they all died in a fire that completely destroyed our home. The only ones who were left alive was my brother Derek, the second oldest, Laura, Cora, and my uncle. My cousin Malia lived because she wasn't even living with us, another family had adopted her." I said as I pointed to the picture with my mother and father in it.
"Oh, I'm so sorry," he said putting a hand on my shoulder. "What happened to your sisters?"
I looked at them in them in the photograph."Honestly I'm not really sure what happened to Laura, Derek refused to tell me, but I assume it was hunters. And Cora died a few years later in another country or something. It's been a long time so I don't remember what happened to her. But I miss them both." I said. He nodded as he picked up another picture. It was a picture of Allison. I started to get annoyed, knowing he would ask who she was and I would have to explain her death. But talking about it honestly helped me cope.
"That's Allison. I was about nine or ten when we met. I adored her. She was my brothers pack leader's girlfriend. She was the best. Until one of my friends got possessed by an evil kitsune spirit, and was killed." I said. He nodded and gave me a confused look when I said "kitsune spirit" but he didn't pry. Then he picked up the picture I had been hoping he wouldn't.
