Dying Is Fast

Dying is fast:
A car crash,
A hospital bed,
And a viewing, far too soon for anyone to grasp.

Thoughts and feelings
No one should have to deal with,
They were so shocked when you ended it all.

A cold night,
That you just couldn't seem to get through.

A warm bed,
Surrounded be those you love,
And looking up to those waiting for you.

A moving day,
Too stressful on your small body.

A needle
After years of dementia,
You taste it.

Dying is fast:
A diagnosis,
Your health declining.
A promise,
With your family calling out to you,
You were gone.

Dying is fast
But what is far too quick,
Is the turn of the earth
As everything continues without you.
