"You cant be serious!" James said, he leaned back on his chair, still roaring with laughter.
"No" Remus pointed to Sirius between laughs "He is"
"Not a years gone by where we haven't made that joke" Peter murmured to himself, nobody payed attention though.
"That is because i'm awesome my dear wormtail" Sirius grinned
They were all laughing so hard they didn't notice the compartment door open.
"Hi" A girl with bushy brown hair said. "Can we sit here, everywhere else is full"
"Sure!" Remus said smiling
"Im Hermione Granger, and thats Ryder Watson, my boyfriend, Thats Harley Pace and his girlfriend Grace Watson, whose also Ryders sister" Hermione said smiling at the four.
"we could have introduced ourselves mione" Harley said, shaking his head.
"Im Remus Lupin, and this is James potter, Sirius black and Peter Pettigrew" Remus explained, Harley clenched his fist at peters name
"You alright Harl?" Ginny asked
"Yeah, why wouldn't i be?" Harley said, smiling at his girlfriend
"Not to be rude or anything" Sirius asked "But what exactly are you doing here, you look to old to be first years and i've never seen you before"
"Oh we were umm all homeschooled, our parents were best friends see, and lived in this huge house together, however mine and Ryders parents wanted to send them to a foreign school, but Holly and Harveys didn't want us to leave the country, however last summer -" She stuttered at exactly the right spot "- Were killed by D- Deatheaters" Grace lied convincingly
"Sorry for your loss" Peter said, they all had believed her, except for remus, who looked at them like he knew they weren't telling them something, and he was determined to find out what.
The journey had been a long one, The marauders had been asking a lot of questions, and each time they had managed to come up with a convincing lie.
"We have to go to the carriages now" Remus said to Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny
"I wonder how they know when to move.. like how when there not pulled by anything" James wondered aloud
"They're pulled by thestrals" Harry explained "you can only see them if you've witnessed death"
"you've seen death?" Sirius asked
Harry thought it was kinda strange seeing as he was talking to one of the people he saw die, but nodded all the same.
"So who do you think would win in a fight, a thestral thing, or a hippogriff?" James said grinning
"I mean thestrals are super skinny and frail- probably a hippogriff" Sirius stated
"Yeah but the hippogriff cant see the thestrals" James argued
"It kills to eat" Sirius pointed out
"true" James agreed as they came up to the castle gates
"you coming?" Remus asked, noticing the four weren't walking up the stairs.
"We'll catch up, we need to talk to Dumbledore about something" Hermione said
"Lets go to mcgonagall, we dont know where dumbledore is, but shes right there!" Ginny suggested
They all agreed and walked over to the professor
"And who might you be?" Mcgonagall questioned them, "i'm gonna have to ask you to-"
"That doesn't matter right now" Harry said urgently "We need to talk to dumbledore"
"im afraid i cant-"
"Please professor, you can come too, we'll explain everything there" Hermione begged Mcgonagall paused for a few seconds, but nodded and said "follow me"
