"You make me feel like a shit mother!" The woman barked, "you were the younger sibling and somehow did a better job bringing up my son than me." The woman had tears in her eyes. "I was there, I was around him. Your son loves you so much. And I don't mean to make you feel like shit, I have just always been me. We raised each other. When dad got sick we had to be there for each other and since he and I didn't have a mom around all the time, we had to adapt." Bella had a soft soothing voice but it was broken by the occasional sniffle from crying so hard. "I'm sorry... I'm sorry I was so immature. Can we start over?" The woman now standing with her arms open for a hug. Bella doesn't speak, she lifts her head from my shoulder and lets go of my hand. Then she uses me to push herself up from the floor, then looks down at me and smiles. I can't help but stare at her, the way her blonde hair falls on her shoulders and back like a golden waterfall. The way her lips curled when she laughed and smiled, the way her cheeks reddened as she cried, tho I'd rather she be red in the face by something else. Sam tapped me on the shoulder making me brake my gaze, I looked up to him, who had a wide smile. "Shut it." "I didn't say a word." He said raising his hands in innocence. We walk back into Morgan's room, "Bella go home... you live 4 hours away from here." "It's fine. I can drive home later." She says sitting next to the bed pulling out her phone. "Damn, Bella, you're popular." "No it's my roommate. I have to answer her or she will start getting worried and drive up here." She stands up and before walking out of the room she pauses and then walks again. "Colby is it?" I looked away from the door realizing I was staring at it. "Yeah." I nodded looking at Morgan who had a very serious face. "She's not just a piece of ass." "I know. She seems like a good person," "she won a date with Colby." Sam cut me off. Morgan and his mom look stunned, "what!!" "Why would she sign up for that?" Morgan asked "not to be rude" he added, Sam and Kat laughed. "Yeah. Why did she do it?" Kat asked deep in thought. "She was filling in for a coworker and I guess her boss never told her what was happening." Sam said checking out the room. "Makes sense. She would never go for a guy like you. Your just not her type." Morgan laughed a little. "No you're right my type is toxic." She said leaning against the doorway grinning.
