!black rabbit! vigilante izuku/rewrite

chapter 9

It was a seemingly normal night, izuku stepped outside and pulled his hood up, he jumped on to a building and began his patrol

a few hours later he decided he was finished for the night, he stopped a mugging in the sketchier part of town, and walked a few scared women back to their houses. But other than that, his night was seemingly uneventful until he heard something 

A scream. From a little girl?!

he jumped down and sprinted towards wherever the screaming was coming from, eventually he stopped in an alley where he saw a man and a little girl. The man was dragging the girl into the alley and the girl was screaming and crying 

"Come on! I have to take you home!!" he said pulling her farther back into the alley clearly hurting her 

"NO! IM NOT! LET ME GO" she yelled struggling against the mans grasp

that's when izuku noticed what poor shape this girl was in, her arms and legs where littered with scars, she had a torn dress with no shoes, she was pale and extremely skinny, even for a girl her age. 

he was pulled out of his thoughts by a weak but pleading voice "PLEASE HELP! ANYONE!" 

he didn't know what their situation was, but he wouldn't tolerate it any longer 

he ran up to the man and kicked him in the stomach. he doubled over in pain and before he had time to react he scooped up the girl and ran all the way to his apartment 

he quickly unlocked the door and set the girl down inside

 she looked terrified but relieved, tears streamed down her face as she frantically looked around the room

"hey... its okay. you're safe now,I won't hurt you" izuku said softly, careful not to scare her

to his surprise she jumped into his arms and began sobbing into his chest, he stroked her hair until she eventually fell asleep, he gently placed her on the bed then laid down besides her and fell asleep 

In the morning once she calmed down he tried talking to her, and she told him mostly everything

"my name is E-eri, i'm 6,my quirk is rewind, and my fathers name his Kai" she shuddered at his name 

he tried to hide his surprise. 'I really just took overhauls daughter..' ..."t-thank you Eri! what a beautiful name! Okay.. so you have 2 options. I could take you to the orphanage and you would get a new family, of you could always stay with me, but I don't think you'd really want to do that" he says rubbing the back of his neck "I might have to leave you alone at some points."

Eri latched on to his shirt "You're the only one who has ever cared about me! I want to stay with you no matter what!" tears threatened to spill out of her eyes 

Izuku was taken back 

"well Eri if you're going to be living with me for know on I guess I'd better introduce myself! I'm izuku Midoriya, I'm currently 12 years old, and more well known as Black Rabbit. But we have to keep that a secret k?" 

"o-okay!"

"excellent! we'll make a great family!" he gave her a warm smile 

...

"how about I take you shopping tomorrow!?"

"shopping..? whats that.?...."

"you'll see!"

she nodded slowly
