Midas x Reader One Shots

20 years ago - from present day

Midas bust through the door, pointing his gun at the shadow henchmen's head. He shot at them and ran through the doorway, running down the steps and shooting every henchman in his way. He went through a door, thinking it was the room he never got to enter but needed to.

"Finally!" He said and walked through the room. He held his gun, making sure no henchman were near. He looked around for the intel, not seeing anything in the room at all. He then felt a switch on the wall, cautiously flicking it up. A light turned on and he heard a whine.

Midas was confused to say the least. He looked down and through a window he saw a small child, she was maybe 3 or 4. Midas found the door to the room and walked inside, walking over to the child. He looked over at the table and saw a bunch of knifes, guns, and c4s on it. He looked at the weapons then at the child. She looked him in the eye and started making grabby hands at him and cried. Midas panicked and ran to the child, he picked her up and rocked her, not really knowing how kids work. He noticed how light she was, sure she was a tiny child but she was definitely too tiny. Midas looked down and saw a barcode like design on the girl's shoulder.

"Leave." The girl said as she pulled at Midas's shirt, crying.

Midas completely pushed the actual mission to the back of his mind as he had to get the small child out of here. The whole situation gave him bad vibes, she shouldn't be here.

He held the child close to his chest as he ran out the room. He couldn't just leave obviously so he tried finding the easiest but sneakiest way out. He looked around and he sighed to himself before setting the girl down and running towards a window, breaking it. He grabbed the girls hand and pulled her out with him. He picked her up and ran off to the choppa that was right behind the building. He dodged every bullet being shot at him and he quickly got her in the choppa as securely as she could be.

"Don't move." Midas said to her, watching her nod.

Midas quickly wiped the little girls tears and he ran off. He ducked behind the helicopter and began shooting henchman. As many of them began ganging up on him and he couldn't take them all, he got into the choppa and flew off.

He got to the agency safely and landed the choppa on the empty helipad. Getting the little girl out and wrapping her in a sheet that he found in the choppa before holding her close. Midas then walked into the building ahead of him. As he entered The Agency a small girl ran up to Midas, behind her was the boss.

"Midas, you're back." The boss said, seeing Midas holding something made him smile. "And you've brought something! Please tell me the mission was successful. You've retrieved it!"

"Retrieved what?" Midas asked before reaching down and picking up the other small girl, holding her on his hip.

The girl looked at who Midas was holding and tried to get a good look at her, she was under a sheet after all.

"The bow. Oh, Midas, please don't tell me you forgot the bow!" The boss said, grabbing Midas's shoulders and shaking him.

The shaking made the sheet fall to the floor, revealing a small girl. The Boss gasped and looked confused.

"I know, I know. But I found her locked in a room full of weapons! She was crying and begged me to leave with her. I didn't feel good leaving her there..." Midas explained.

The Boss sighed and he looked at her, "hello, I see this nincompoop forgot his mission only to bring you home yeah? What's your name hun?" He said in a soft voice rarely anyone hears.

"Y/N." The little girl spoke quietly, she was scared of the man talking to her. She clutched onto Midas like her life depended on it. Even though it kinda did.

The Boss just nodded and he looked at the other girl in Midas's arms. "I guess Skye will have someone to be accompanied by." He said, sighing.

"So, she's staying here?"

"Oh no! She's staying with you, but she's welcome to come here. We already have a little girl running around." The Boss said, motioning to Skye.

Midas hummed softly, "I guess as long as she's safe." He said and looked at The Boss.

"We will do whatever it is to keep her safe, for now.. we need to get to know her." The Boss said.

"I think maybe, just maybe, the code on her will let us know some stuff about her." Midas said, moving the shirt y/n was wearing.

Y/N squirmed though, hiding her face. Midas showed The Boss the barcode and just shrugged.

"This... will be interesting."
