I had to let go
My fingers held a firm grip
But I had to know to leave

He held the soul of my wanting
But it was his want to not see me as his
We talked so often
I ignored his calls if I could
But he just kept calling until I forgot to ignore
He thinks I'm busy when I don't pick up
He thinks I'm just shy when I smile like a fool,stutter and pause so much
He is ignorant but a devoted friend
It hurts to even speak his name and to not speak with him
It's funny how my eyes are moist
His shadow looms my streets a lot

But once I felt him hesitant
Isn't whispering a thing among friends
He seemed uncomfortable to get any closer
And lend a ear to my secret sentence
