Gundham sighed and shook his head in disappointment when Kazuichi entered the gymnasium to immediately make a fool of himself. But Sonia didn't seem to understand that Souda needed a moment to perhaps catch his breath and she hopped out of her spot in line and over to him.
"Princess-" he started to whisper, but knew there was no stopping the oblivious girl once her mind was made up.
"Kazuichi, I'm glad to see you made it~" she said quietly with glee, resting a hand on his shoulder. He flinched and turned around, gasping a bit.
"O- oh, hey Miss Sonia.. heheh, thanks.." Souda looked away sheepishly, cheeks still tinted lightly pink from the mortifying experience.
Gundham crossed his arms, shaking his head in disappointment. 'Foolish mortal...' he thought. But he was then snapped out of his thoughts by Souda's voice once again.
"H- hey, uh.. thanks for callin' me, you guys.." Kazuichi stuttered, scratching the back of his neck. He looked toward Miss Sonia and briefly made eye contact with Gundham, letting him know he was speaking to him as well.
"Ah, yes, of course." Sonia replied, placing her hands together in front of her. "But I do only think it would be fair to tell you that it was originally Gundham's idea~ haha~.."
"O- oh- thanks man.." Souda tried to hide the surprised look on his face as he again looked into Gundham's eyes.
Gundham scoffed, crossing his arms and revealing a small smirk from under his scarf. "Well, of course. I refuse to have my grade decend due to the absence of one useless mortal... You will not drag down the great Gundham Tanaka down with you-!" He whisper-shouted arrogantly back at Kazuichi, talking about the class's attendance record.
It seemed to take Souda a second to process Gundham's words, but as soon as he did he rolled his eyes and turned away. "Whatever man.. thanks anyways.." he grumbled, his expression more agrivated than grateful now.
Gundham again hid the lower half of his face in his scarf, his cocky smile dieing down to a more.. natural one. "You're welcome.." he whispered, just barely audible. Of course Souda didn't hear it, but the words still made Gundham's face turn a little pink, he was not used to uttering such phrases...

The rest of the early morning class meeting went without problems, and the students were soon heading to class as always, the hallways echoed with chatter. Gundham didn't mind school that much. However at the moment he knew he'd much rather prefer to be at home with his mother, who wasn't feeling that well before he had left.
Gundham held out a hand to steady her as she swayed, her walking momentarily halted as a supposed wave of dizziness hit her. "Mother-" Gundham started, helping her back to her seat at the dining room table. "Please-" he began again, only to be cut off by a hand. "No, haha.. I'm fine.." she promised him, "Just a small episode is all ~ I don't want to hear it, Tanaka, your schooling takes importance over my health. Please, don't disobey me.." she had warned.
Gundham shook the flashback from his head. He had given in to his mother and gone to class like she had asked. 'She is the only one ever strong enough to overcome my will- No puny mortal could ever match her..' he knew, his admittance making him feel kind of weak...
Soon he had closed his locker and walked to class, sighing as he noticed he was one of the first ones to arrive. 'Great.. just the longer here I must wait..' he mentally grumbled, sliding into his chair and beginning to fidget with the bandaging on his hand..
Eventually the rest or the class arrived, half the time in some, loud annoying manner. Gundham spent his time peering out the window as he waited for homeroom to begin, trying to ignore his roudy classmates...

The rest of the morning went by, and the rest of the school day. Everything turned out normal, no.. strange occurrences, like, I don't know.. stuffed animals or anything-
Everyone packed out their bags to go home along with Gundham, who swung his satchel over his shoulder and began to walk briskly toward the door. 'I hope she's alright-' he thought, his stomach once again tying itself in a knot as he waited anxiously to arrive home.
Once his house melted into view from the paved sidewalk, he briskly walked up the porch and to the front door, fishing the keys out of his pocket. The door creaked as Gundham swung it open and...
His stomach dropped to the floor.
