I looked at Riddian with panicked eyes. We never actually decided if he was going to get Nova pregnant or not.

"Well?" Nova pressed.

Riddian rustled his fingers in his hair. "Yeah um..." He glanced at me obviously hoping I'd give him some sort of sign. I just shrugged slightly so Nova didn't notice. Something flickered in his eyes that told me he was basically saying "Fuck it", but that was just a guess.

"Alright here's how it is." He started cautiously. "I'll agree to try and get you pregnant ONLY if Teegan is involved."

"Of course! That was always the plan." She nodded enthusiastically. I was in shock. I really didn't think he would want to do it. Why the sudden change?

"No, I mean like...I want her to be with us when we..." Riddian raised his eyebrows and looked us up and down.

I felt Nova's body stiffen as the realization of what he was proposing filled her mind.

"You want us to have a three way?" She asked with a hint of what almost sounded like...excitement?

Nova looked over at me suspiciously. I gulped and forced a small smile. "Yeah. Yeah because I'm dating both of you and the thought you both sleeping together freaks me out. If I'm involved though, then it's more about all of us and no one is left out." The more I kept talking the more I believed what I was saying. It made sense to sleep with both of them at the same time if they were comfortable. Why not?

"So what do you say?" Riddian asked Nova.

She smiled to herself and looked at us. "I think it sounds incredibly hot." That's my girl. She was way kinkier than I was.

"Oh, but one more thing. If I'm giving you a baby, I WILL be a part of the child's life. I refuse to be a deadbeat like my father was." Riddian had never really talked about his family so hearing him say that was unexpected. Although I admit that when Riddian said he wanted to be a good dad my heart fluttered for a second.

Nova stood up and held out her hand to him. "Absolutely. The three of us will raise the baby together as a family. Promise."

He shook her hand and smiled. "This is sure gonna be interesting."

"I wouldn't have it any other way." I pulled them both into a hug. Who knows if what we proposed would even happen, but there was no turning back now.

After that we all decided to wait to have our little rendezvous until after they were married and Nova became queen. That way their relationship and her position would be solidified. It would also guarantee their future child's place in the royal family no matter their half dark sprite lineage.

News about Nova's little speech at the center of town square spread quickly and soon their wasn't a single sprite that didn't hear about it. So as expected, the queen wanted to speak to Nova  immediately when she found out. Although instead of ordering one of the staff to fetch Nova, she actually came to us directly.

Nova and I were lounging on one of the many sofas in what we called the rec. room. We spent a lot of time there because it contained all of the essentials. There was a huge flat screen tv mounted to the main wall, a mini kitchen stocked with snacks and drinks and a variety of different seating along with book shelves.

Riddian had left to visit a couple of his friends with the permission from King Leon and wouldn't be back until nightfall. So Nova and I decided to watch some tv to kill time. She had her legs across my lap and I was gently rubbing her feet when Selene stepped in front of our view.

Nova grabbed the remote and put the tv on mute. "Yes, mother?"

Selene cleared her throat. "I just heard about what you did in town the other day. Why didn't you tell me?"

"Honestly? I didn't feel like fighting with you about it." She replied dryly. Selene had a look of disappointment on her face.

"I'm not going to fight with you Novalina." She shook her head sadly. "I'm proud of you."

Nova removed her legs from my lap and slowly stood so she was face to face with her mother. "What did you say?"

The queen had actual tears in her eyes as she explained, "I'm proud of you. You are so strong and independent. What you said took bravery and an amount of vulnerability I never had. Our people are so impressed by you, Nova. I'm sorry I never realized how amazing you are. I hope you can forgive me."

Happy tears slid down Nova's face as she embraced Selene in a loving hug. "Of course I forgive you. I wasn't exactly the best daughter either. I'm glad I have you by my side." They both were smiling and it was beautiful to see their relationship start to mend right before my eyes. I was happy for them.

"I think you're ready." Announced the queen as she pulled away from Nova and looked her in the eyes.

"Really?" She asked in disbelief. I was just siting on the couch in the background completely oblivious to what was happening.

"Absolutely. It's time. You must marry Riddian and finally take your rightful place as our people's queen."

Nova nodded and her body language changed in a way that screamed determination.

"Time to plan a wedding!" Yelled a high pitched voice from around the corner. How long had she been eavesdropping for? Carmen strolled in and hugged Nova excitedly. "Please, please, please let me help!"

"Uhh.." Caught off guard she looked over at me for help. I instinctively made a face that said I had no knowledge about weddings. In defeat she half heartedly smiled back at Carmen. "Alright, what do you have in mind?"

"Not so fast, ladies. We will be combining the wedding and coronation so all decisions must be approved of. In other words, nothing too crazy okay?" Warned Nova's mom.

"Crazy? Me?" Nova pretended to be offended dramatically. Selene laughed and the four of us sat down together and discussed ideas. Their excitement was infectious and even I couldn't help but anticipate the big day. Nova was going to be queen!
