Sometimes we feel the need to add more information than is required which somehow insults the intelligence of a reader.

Sometimes we state the obvious which we shouldn't do if we actually wrote a lot of details already about it. You don't want readers to be like "No shit Sherlock"

You don't have to say every single thing that the characters are going through if you already use words that should automatically indicate to your readers what is actually happening.
