chapter 1:where it all started

Amelia's Pov
I sat down in my room looking at the stick in front of me I've been staring at it for 30 mins now just like a little kid stared at lollipop well something inside of me wished it was actually a lollipop maybe that would save me from all the raging thought inside my head but no it wasn't a lollipop ...it was a pregnancy test and the most interesting part was that it tested positive and at that moment moment something inside my head clicked..I'm ruined I'm ruined oh my God my mom's going to kill me how could I let this happen how could I have been so reckless how I mentally screamed in my head as I bawled my eyes out it was just supposed to be one harmless party before I went to college  then how did it go wrong how did I lose control,how did I let it happen how how..
"I'm so dead"I say to myself as I cry
"Amelia"my mum says as she opens up my room door with a tray of food I looked just like my mum hazel eyes strawberry blonde hair full pink lips...she was a very pretty woman key word was the death of my dad ruined her she wasn't just her bubbly self anymore now she was just a shadow of herself and I'm just gonna make this worse for her we've been through a lot this past few years the death of my dead wasn't easy for us it was hard for us to survive and that's exactly why my mom has been shuffling a lot of jobs just to make sure we had something
"Baby are you ok"my mum says as she tucks behind her strawberry blonde hair
"I brought you breakfast you've not been out of your room since yesterday at least eat something and then maybe we'll talk about what's eating you up"she says hopefully
"I'm not hungry "I say with my head down
"You know I'm tired of hearing this Amelia...I'm your mother I deserve to know what's going on with you you're not yourself for crying out loud I'm worried you're the only thing I have left in this world and it feels like I'm slowly losing you"she says as I sigh how I'm I supposed to tell her
"Amelia honey,talk to me baby what's wrong" she asks as she kneels next to me
"Mum I'm sorry I'm really sorry"I say sniffing she looks so confused and lost
"Amy what did you do what are you sorry for"she asks as I stretch my hand to her
"What's this?" She asks I can't even find the right words to say to her I'm so disappointed in myself
"Amy are you pregnant?"she asks as I give out a feeble nod and look up to see her face I watched the colours drain from her face as she takes a few step back
"Mum I'm sorry I'm so sorry"
"How how..how could you let this happen!!! How, I raised you better than this how could you, how could you be so stupid and unreasonable!!"she screams in anger as I flinch from her outburst this is the first time I've seen her this angry she looks livid.
"Who's the father"she asks yet another question that keeps me speechless as I play with my hands nervously
"Amelia Natalie Collins!!!! You don't know who the father is... how can you be so reckless how can you be pregnant and don't know who the father is or were you raped?" She says
"No I wasn't raped mum it was a party I was drunk I didn't know what I was doing..I'm sorry"I say as I cry
"Amy what are we going to do your scholarship is gone you wanted a bright future for yourself for me for us but it's all gone baby it's all gone"she says as  she sits next to me on the floor
"I'm sorry mummy I'm so sorry'i say as the tears flow down uncontrollably and she engulfs me in a tight hug
"Shhhh it's fine we'll get through this ok we'll be fine"she says as she places her hand on my belly and pecks my forehead
                  Few months later
I am sprawled on the couch with a lot of newspaper searching for a job being a single mum with no job is a very bad combination I don't know how I'm gonna survive through that and mum's not earning enough to take care of three so I need a job ASAP you know the craziest part is I don't even know the name of the guy I slept with stupid right but I was so drawn to him at that moment that nothing else mattered to me but he was quite a hunk if I must say he looked older wasn't a teenager like me he would probably be in his late 20s or something like I care he's probably forgotten me already who remembers a eighteen years old he had a one night stand with     I just hope faith makes us cross paths soon
"I'm so tired and hungry"I say to myself as my tummy rumbles in confirmation can't believe it's been eight months already this past months have been so stressful for me with the pregnancy and all that but my mum has been helping and I love her for that she's been handling the situation pretty well
"How about we go look for something to eat before grandma gets back and maybe find some job openings too"I say to my huge belly as I pick up my phone and leave the house
"Hmm amazing"I say as I inhale the aroma coming from Katy's cafe the best cafe ever their pies and cakes are just the best and the best part is they're in need of a waitress might as well try my luck as I walk into the diner and sit in one of the booths
"Hi welcome to Katy's cafe what do you need"the waiter says as he smiles at me
"Hmm one creme latte and cookies"I say
"Coming right up "he says as he leaves and I get lost in my own thoughts I wonder who emerald is well that's what I named the father of my child till I figure out his name it totally suits him though since he had those green shiny eyes that I got lost in after the whole pregnancy drama I cut off all of my friends I just couldn't face them it was so embarrassing
"Miss here you go"the waiter says  snapping me out of my thoughts
"Thank you and hey can I ask a question it's gonna be really quick"I say as I bite my lips nervously
"Yeah sure go ahead"
"Hmm I saw the sign outside you guys have job openings here do you think it still open"I ask
"Hmm yes if you're interested you can talk to the manager but I'm sure he'll say yes because you're the only one interested so far and we really need some help"he says with a smile
"So where's the manager" I ask
"I'll let him know he'll be here soon "he says shouldn't I be the one to go see him
"I don't wanna stress you since you look quite heavy he'll understand he's a nice person"he says as I nod and tell him thank you well I'm pregnant not handicapped well whatever as I continue with my food
"Hi I'm Matt I own this place I heard you're interested"the voice says as I look up... wowwww speaking of a Greek god he has jet black hair which he gelled to the back blue piercing eye balls and those lips wow I wonder how it would feel to have them against mine,snap out of it Amelia stop being a pervert
"Hello Miss if you're done eye raping me would you mind replying me"he says with a smirk damn I so wanna slap that smirk off his face
"Hmm sorry I heard you were hiring and I wanted to try out"I say to him as he takes a good look at me and I felt so self conscious under his piercing gaze
"Yes we are indeed hiring but do you have any experience as a waitress"he says
"Yes I used to help my aunt in her coffee shop plus I worked in my school's cafeteria for a while"I say
"Hmm ok since we've only got you now I guess you're hired"he says wait...I'm hired ahhhh I'm so excited
"Thank you so much sir , when do I start"I say grinning
"Hmm how far"he says ok I really don't get what he's saying as I give him a puzzled look then his eyes slowly shifts to my belly oh he's talking about this
"Just a few weeks to go" I say as i rub my belly.
"You start in 2 months"he says as I take a look at him
"Why?" I ask
"You need to take care of your baby"he says with a smug look

"Thank you sir"I say he's just so nice

"Amelia Collins"I say as he shakes my hand damn I felt butter flies, stupid hormones
"Take care bye and we'll keep in touch"he says as I get up and leave the cafe my walk back home was so exhausting
"Hey sweetheart how was your day"my mum says as she steps out of the kitchen
"It was fine got a job at the cafe Downtown"I say as I carefully sit gosh my legs and back hurts as I let out a groan of pain
"Are you ok sweety"my mum says worry evident in her voice
"Yes mum...just tired" I try to say as I suddenly feel pain in my lower abdomen
"Mum" I say with panic in my voice
"I think my water just broke"I say shaking
