The drive was twenty minutes. Mark had his own house and it resided by his college. When Seo-Young pulled into the street where Mark's house was she could instantly tell it was going to be a crazy party. Cars were lined up across the block, despite it being early. The music could be heard and the faint smell of smoke overtook the air.Min-kyung grew more and more nervous as they approached the house. Her knees shook and her palms grew sweaty. "It's going to be okay, I'll be there with you." Seo-Young says as she pulled into an available space to park. Min-kyung took deep breaths focusing on happy thoughts. "Yeah, you're right." Seo-Young climbed out of the car and walked to the other side to open Min-kyung's door.
"Come on, let's have some fun." Min-Kyung smiled as Seo-Young took her hand and led her to the front door. She knocked, but there was no response. "I guess the music's too loud." Seo-Young grasped the doorknob, slowly turning it. To her surprise the door opened and the girls cautiously stepped in. The blasting music sent a ringing in Min-kyung's ears. She whimpered, bringing her hand to her ears, shutting her eyes tightly.
She could feel more people come in, they brushed past her mumbling things to themselves. "Min-Kyung!" She opened her eyes to see Seo-Young standing by her boyfriend. "I'm going to the pool with Chang-ho, you can stay here if you want." Min-Kyung could barley comprehend what her friend was saying. She nodded, turning around and weaving through a large crowd of people. She needed the bathroom, she needed someplace that was more quiet.
Min-kyung found a bathroom, but the line was long. She groaned as she walked away, heading to the kitchen. She spotted a pile of cigarettes, blow and alcohol. Min-kyung hummed "maybe if she got drunk the music wouldn't be as loud." She snagged a bottle and attempted to open it. "That's not how you do it" a voice said as a hand took the bottle. Min-kyung covered her ears again trying to recognize the boy, only she couldn't. She had never met him before.
"I'm Mark, this is my party!" he says loudly, noticing Min-kyung's shielded ears. He waved his hand in the air and pointed down. The volume of the music got lower and Min-kyung sighed in relief "thanks." "No problem, and about the bottle.." Mark fiddled with some chains on his pants and singled out a circular one. He propped the bottle cap against it popping it open, it's lid hitting the kitchen floor. He handed the bottle back to Min-Kyung and smirked.
"First college party?" She nodded, tipping the bottle over her lips then gagging. "Ew, this stuff is terrible!" Mark chuckled "yeah, but you'll get used to it." Min-kyung's eyes darted behind Mark's shoulder. Jung-shin was glaring at her with a malicious sneer. "Uh nice meeting you Mark, but I have to go." Mark noticed Min-Kyung staring behind him and turned around.
He scanned the people, but nothing seemed out of the ordinary. When He faced straight again Min-kyung was gone and so was the bottle. He shrugged popping a bottle open for himself . Min-kyung ran into a hallway darting into a nearby room to hide. She breathed heavily and her heart was racing. She tipped the bottle over her mouth again taking several gulps.
It's fine, it's fine, I'm fine, it's going to be okay. Her thoughts spiraled and she didn't think the alcohol would kick in this fast. Min-Kyung sat on the bed trying to focus her vision. I'm fine, I'm just nervous. Min-Kyung takes a few more gulps of the beer, finishing it off. Her breath slowed and her body was washed with sudden euphoria. She stared at the ceiling laughing hysterically at its intricate design which she found funny for some reason.
Just then, the door opened and closed quickly, and a figure slumped to the floor panting. "Oh~ Heyloo" Min-Kyung greeted the person in a groggy tone. "Min-Kyung?" he questioned getting up to take a closer look. "Are you drunk?" Min-Kyung squinted as she tried her best to pinpoint the boy. "Haechan?" "Yes, it's me. Why are you in here?"
He looked Min-Kyung in the eyes, her Iris's shook rapidly and her eyelids closed at different times. He sighed "what happened?" Min-Kyung smiled and she pulled Haechan over the bed, caressing his face, a giggle escaping her mouth as she booped his nose lightly. "Min-kyung.." he whined, knowing she was far gone. Min-kyung shook her head, placing a singular finger across Haechan's lips "Shh..."
She stared at the boy, longer than usual. Haechan could only stare back as his heart rate quickened. Min-kyung, in an instant pulled the boys face closer locking her lips with his in a very sloppy kiss. Haechan pulled away, a shocked expression painted over his face "Min-Kyung, what the hell." She hummed "I've always liked you, since the moment I saw you out the window." Haechan's heart was pounding and he didn't understand. "No, this isn't right. Where's Seo-Young?"
Min-kyung jolted up with a gasp "oh yeah.." She got up and ran out the door, Haechan flinching before following her. He ran out to chase after her, but he had lost Min-kyung in the ocean of people dancing. "Shit!" Min-Kyung ran past the kitchen, snatching another bottle of beer as she past. She wobbled outside, taking a drink from her new bottle. "Min-kyung!" Seo-Young's voice echoed in her ears. She spun in a circle trying to locate her friend.
Suddenly the music stopped. A boy was atop a table lightly hitting a spoon on a glass. "Excuse me everyone! I'd like to make an announcement.." Min-Kyung stood by the pool and faced the voice. Even though she was drunk she knew who the boy was. He smirked evilly as he made eye contact with the girl. Min-kyung felt herself comeback to reality as she focused on the boy and his "announcement."
