He didn't know how much fake smiles he gave Mark while talking to him. He never meant anything he said. But since he agreed, he'd have to do it.

When they both went out the room, the members are all waiting outside, he smiled and placed his arms on Marks shoulders again.

"We made up" he cheekily said.

Mark smiled at them as well so the members all sighed in relief, Renjun doesn't though.

When they are both walking outside, on their way home, Renjun spoke.

"What was that?" he asked.

"What was what?" he replied while smiling again.

"Don't use that ugly fake smile on me, what was that Lee Dongyuck?"

Donghyuck finally sighed while looking straight ahead. "I confessed" he admitted.

"Okay and— what the fuck, you did what?!"

"Yeah, I confessed" he said while chuckling a little.

"He rejected you didn't he?"

He pushed the older jokingly and said, "Maybe? I don't know, before he could answer I told him I'll stop liking him already"

He didn't heard Renjun replying so he turned to look at him. He looked shocked and serious at the same time.

"What's gotten on your dumb head? Why did you do that?"

"I realised that, I'm tired" he said while looking ahead.

"I'm tired of expecting that one day, something will change. That maybe he would look my way. But apparently, it's been two years and nothing happened. Maybe it's time to stop?" he questioned while looking at him again.

The older shrugged and said, "Maybe, if that's what you want then go for it"

"How did you do it though?"

"Do what?" Renjun curiously asked.

"Pretend that you don't like Jaemin because you know he likes Jeno" he said.

Renjun was shocked, he didn't know that his best friend noticed. He never told anyone that he liked Jaemin.

"I don't know. But what can I do? They like each other. Why would I fight for something when I'll surely lose anyway?" he sighed while crossing his arms on his chest.

"Right, that's hard as fuck" he replied and both of them laughed.

He's still glad that someone gets how he feels somehow. He knew that deep on his heart, what he have with Mark is not just a simple like. And it will take a while to fade.
