A Hot Relationship

A lady we're all familiar with, Tia, was sitting in the crowd of a restaurant. Her husband Dushyant was at her house with their baby, whilst she came to see a very close friend perform. As the night came closer to ending, Tia took her phone from her bag and began to call someone.

Tia: Shivaay?

Shivaay: haa Tia, Kya hua?

Tia: where are you? Abhi Anika ke performance shuru hone wala hai.

Shivaay: performance?

That's when it struck him. Before their paths diverted, Shivaay had booked Anika to sing in a restaurant owned by their friend, since she said she wanted to try it once. Partly, he was to blame for their separation, but the Tadibaaz side of him (as she would call it) didn't let him admit this. He clearly told her not to listen, believe or accept anything that the world shows or tells her until he has confirmed thay thing with her. But no, she had to disobey him and leave, breaking the trust between them. Yes he did marry that Pooja girl on his Roop Bua's instance, but the wedding was fake. How could Anika possibly think he would marry another woman?

Tia: Shivaay?

This bought Shivaay's concentration back on the reality and what was happening at that moment. His two brothers Omkara and Rudra were there and drove him to the venue

Shivaay: I'm on my way Tia, I'll be there soon

With this he ended the call and encouraged Om to go a little harder on the acceleration.

Malika: next up is our special act of the night, Anika

The proud owner of the restaurant dismissed herself from the stage, allowing Anika to take her place and stand by the mic.

(Note: The following song has been slightly adapted to fit Anika's position. The original song is in the header. I was unable to find a female version of this songs at the time this story was written).

Karun kya gila phir kya fayda
Jo hona tha woh ho gaya
Tum jo mujh se ab hui ho juda
Issi mein raazi hoga Khuda
There's no point in complaining
What was meant to happen has happened already
You left me
Even God has accepted this

Mohabbat ab main na karungi kisiko
Mohabbat ab main na karungi kisiko
Meri jagah tune de di kisiko
I won't love anyone else
I won't love anyone else
you gave my place to someone else

Tere bina main reh na sakoongi
Tujhpe shuru main
Tujhpe khatam main
Tum jo mujhse ab ho gayi ho juda
Issi mein raazi hoga Khuda
I won't be able to live without you
I start with you
I end with you
You left me
Even God has accepted this

Tere siva Rab se na maangu kisiko
Tere siva Rab se na maangu kisiko
Meri jagah tune de di kisiko
I don't ask God for anyone else except for you
I don't ask God for anyone else except for you
you gave my place to someone else

For the whole duration of the song, only the image of one person's face was present in her mind. When she looked across the room, Anika saw Tia sat at a table. Her gaze got fixed to the man sat beside her, Shivaay. All of a sudden dhe didn't have to imagine his face as it was there right in front of her.
Shivaay had only just entered with Om and Rudra. They quickly located Tia who signalled for them to take a seat with her.

I'm so sick of love songs, I'm sick of the pain
It's already over, there's nothing to say
You were my pleasure, you were the blood in my veins
You gave her your last name, and I took an L
Seein' you with her is bad for my health
But I will be waiting, 'cause nobody's takin' your place

Mohabbat ab main na karungi kisiko
Mohabbat ab main na karungi kisiko
Meri jagah tune de di kisiko
I won't love anyone else
I won't love anyone else
you gave my place to someone else
