Izuku Midoriya was a regular old boy. All of his friends were extraordinary in some way be it a crazy power, pet or profession. Iida was a knight, Uraraka practices witchcraft, the Prince was half demon, even his childhood friend was considered a dragon rider. Which all leads us to how ordinary Midoriya was. He didn't have any powers and the most exciting thing he owns was a healthy white horse and his profession... Delivery boy. He runs around from house to house, shop to shop, kingdom to kingdom delivering goods and services all. While he doesn't mind doing deliveries and all to keep his family afloat. In fact, he looks forward to what the next day holds in store. It's just that, today was especially long and rather boring compared to all the others. It was a rarity for Midoriya to somehow not get sidetracked when he's on the clock. Along his many journeys something always derails his train of thought be it the littlest things like helping a fallen bird back into its nest or running into a plethora of his friends. Today must've been one of those days then. A nice easy delivery day.

Even with today being smooth sailing, it's still exhausting to say the least. More than ten deliveries and not a moment to breathe. Luckily, their latest package in particular was designated to go to the next kingdom over. Lucky how? Yeah it's a long distance kingdom to kingdom but the countryside was always a welcoming sight. Not as much as the beautiful lake Midoriya and his loyal steed stumbled upon. They both practically were thinking the same thing the second their eyes lied upon that crystalline liquid beauty. "Alright Hokori," the boy hops off his silver horse. She nodded her head in excitement to the sweet call of her name as she earned a light congratulatory pat to her behind. "Rest up girl, we have just one more delivery to make," Midoriya watched as his strong girl trotted happily up to the lake's edge and lapped up the water. Without Hokori, life for Izuku and his mother would be much more harsh. Midoriya's just lucky that his childhood friend... Rival? Okay, he isn't sure what to call Kacchan, but he's just lucky that Kacchan found a new steed a while back. That angry boy gave Midoriya Hokori, named after Kacchan's overbearing pride, since he'd rather conquer the skies atop a dragon. Who wouldn't want to fly? Midoriya too imagined himself riding a beautiful creature like Kirishima at the time but he's grateful for what he has.

Speaking of Kirishima, memories are strong aren't they? They can make someone cry on a whim, flood your heart with happiness and sometimes scar for life. For Midoriya, his eyes formed the ghostly image of a towering reptile's red scaly face in the translucent lake. That 'memory' was more than just a figment of his imagination as Hokori suddenly rears back from the lake startled beyond her wits. Midoriya wasted no time in capturing his steed and tugged on her reins desperately! "Calm down girl!" Midoriya cooed but she kept flailing! That's when Midoriya looked behind himself and there he was, the red terror of the skies. "K-Kacchan!!!" Midoriya gasped. But Kacchan was nowhere in sight. Kacchan and Kirishima aren't ever separated and boy does Kirishima look angry with his teeth all flared and slitted eyes narrowing in on them. Something wasn't right... Kirishima's the most gentle dragon he's ever met.

Kirishima reared back before slamming himself back down onto the ground and letting out an ear splitting roar. Hokori ran away the fastest she could leaving her owner behind with the beast. Kirishima's echoing voice made Midoriya's ears bleed, brain rattle against his skull and bones shaking violently. Until... He blacked out hearing the most faintest chant... A woman's voice backed behind boundless bravery.

Midoriya stirred awake hours later and with a skull splitting headache to top it all off. He fought with himself all to simply open up his eyes. With eyelids as heavy as lead, they peeled themself open to a sight that he couldn't recognize to save his life. A dark room only lit by the flickering roar of flames to a fireplace that obediently caressed a large black steel cauldron that hung above. Jars, little and large, cluttered the room from floor to ceiling filled with the most mysterious contents: the fur of a werewolf, vampire fangs and the most oddest of them all being the sweat of a ghost. Upon further inspection, he found a large leatherbound book. It was laying atop a steel podium before the bed he lied upon. The cursive inscription of the book had the boy realize that it's owner was a witch. A witch? Midoriya thought. "I thought Uraraka was one of the last witches in existence?" Midoriya wanted to read the book past it's title, but his head hurt too much to even try. Instead, he thought it'd be a good idea to find the witch who saved him from Kirishima and escort himself out before he'd cause more trouble than he's worth.
