I hurried out of the my office,i clutched my bag handle so tightly and decided to clear my schedule for the day,i called my secretary and asked her to reschedule all my meetings,luckily for me I had attended my only court case for the day,i decided to check on some of my old friends,i called some of them and we decided to go for some ice-cream
"Emily"joy was my very close friend
"I miss you so much,such a bad girl,you couldn't even call"
"Sorry,ive been really busy preparing for my marriage"
"Em"her hazel eyes greeted
"And aren't you such a terrible friend,i can't believe you didn't even call me,y you bitches grew some wings,huh"I joked
Marie,magrette and Tola also said their greetings
After a lot of discussion about school days,
"I'm pregnant guys"Margarette exclaimed
"OMG"
"What the freak,cant believe you didn't tell us that"
"You got to be kidding"
We all started chattering like birds before Marie broke her news
"I'm getting married next month"
My jaw literally dropped,marie was like the tomboy between us who knew she would be getting married soooo soon
All my friends shared new about them being engaged,about them getting married or about them being pregnant ,I couldnt say anything
"Don't you have a boyfriend,or a fiance"Marie asked sarcastically
All my friends looked at me excitedly,what was I gonna say,the truth was not going to work anyways
"I'm engaged"I asked rather than said
"But where's your ring"Marie wouldn't keep her stupid mouth shut
"I left it at work,i had to go to court,im not really used to wearing it,it feel weird"the lie started flowing
"Is that even possible"Marie was a sly bitch
"It is"I replied sternly
"Guys ,I have a lunch reservation,i need to go now".
I decided to text Jane to meet me at my apartment ,I told her I wasn't feeling too well and Diane being the kindest soul that she is,decided to offer to buy me some medicine which I declined and told her wasn't needed.

"Jane"I had changed into my shorts and blouse that I wear to sleep
"Diane"I greeted her warmly
"We thought you were dying and decided to meet you earlier,my brother came with us but decided to go since you weren't feeling well"Jane looked really worried
"Em dear,we were worried sick about you"
"Jeez,chill guys,im not dying or anything,i just wanted to get you guys here earlier,i ordered,pizza,i couldn't get to Mac Donald's to buy your hamburgers"
The pizza delivery came and I paid for it and served in our plates
"Look today was terrible,i...."I was cut off by my ringtone,i checked on the caller ID and saw it was mom,i exceed myself to take the call
"Hi mom,wattsup"
"Emily"she said a little too loudly
"I'm so sorry ,I've..."I was cut short
"Why didn't you tell me,huh"
"Tell you what"I was confused at what she was saying
"That you were engaged" fudge
"Who told u mom"
"Marie did,l-look baby,i need you to bring him home next week,im need to know what my son-in-law looks like"
"But mom...."I whined
"No But's,it took you so long to finally get a man,we have to make sure you guys get married"
"Mom I'm just 24,im still young"
"Just bring your fiance home next-week Tuesday,okay
"Mom I...."the line went off
I went to the dining room
"Jane,diane I have a really big problem"
I explained what happened between Jackson and I up to the point where mom said I had to bring my invisible fiance home
"What do I do"I was sweating like hell when I finished my story
"We have a solution to your problem"Jane said excitedly
"Which is"
"I'll give you a husband,youll give me a grandchild"Diane spoke confidently
"What"I asked like they hadn't said anything reasonable,but of course what they were saying wasn't reasonable to me
"My son needs a wife,you need a husband,and i need a grandchild"
"That's barbaric"I announced
"I don't need a freaking husband,i just need to show someone to my mom,ill probably just tell her I broke up with the person later"
"Think about how happy your parents would be if they found out you were actually getting married soon,theyll be elated"Jane put in
"I can't do that,getting married and giving birthare not in my calendar for these year"
"Are they even in your calendar at all"Diane asked like she already knew the answer
I never really thought about getting married until I was at least 30,
"I have a career to pursue"
"My sons reputation would help push your career so far,you could be a senior associate in less than a month"
I pondered about it for a minute,this marriage would help me beyond anything I imagined
"I need to meet your son before thinking  about what to do"
"Diane,jane,im so happy you people even thought about helping me,you guys are amazing and I love you"
"We love you too"they said simultaneously
We had to heat the pizza before eating and chatting about boys and makeup
Jane and Diane were fun people,and I'll definitely want to be related to them by anything,i was willing to give her proposal a trial,i was fine with it,i had no other option.They left at 9 and we decided to meet at 8the next day since I had to work from home,i couldn't bear to see Jackson so hurt,it made me feel like a jerk,i thought about Dylan for sometimes and decided to leave it be since I'll probably get married in a few weeks time
