"Darling, welcome home." My mother said as I walked into the house.

"Hey ma." I said hugging her.

"How was the flight?" She asked.

   "It was nice." I said.

"That's good, I've missed you so much." She said.

"I've missed you too." I said.

"Hun, I need you to go get ready." She said.

"Why? What'd you do?" I asked.

She gave me a look, a guilty one. She did something I told her not to do.

   "You did not." I said.

"Julie, some of these people haven't seen you since you started. I promise you it won't be bad." She said.

"I sure hope not." I said heading up the stairs with my suitcases.

"I want you ready in two hours ." She said.

I turned the knob and pushed open my door. I flipped the switch and the light came on.

Just how I left it.

I put my suitcase on my bed and opened it. I then locked my door, then slipped out of my shoes.

I took off the clothes I had on and put them in a basket.

I took out a short, flowy, floral dress and slipped it on. It fitted my body perfectly, showing off my curves. I wasn't just some little girl anymore, I'm a grown ass women and I was going to let know.

I sat down and did my makeup, then took my brush and brushed my hair.

I grabbed my black heels and headed back downstairs.

   "Ma?" I shouted.

"In the kitchen." She said.

I walked in and she was finishing making food for the party that was soon to happen.

"How does this look?" I asked doing a twirl.

"It's perfect on you, where did that come from?" She asked.

"A place on campus." I said.

"Put the heels on." She said.

I put the heels on the ground and slipped them on.

"Your so grown up." She said as tears started to form.

"Ma don't cry." I said hugging her.

"My baby's all grown up." She said.

"How long do I have now?" I asked as I took off the heels.

"Enough time, I'll call for you when I need you." She said.

"Alright." I said then making my way back upstairs and into my room.

"Put your heels on and go downstairs." She said as she came into my room.

   "Where's Tony?" I asked.

"He's outback, where you should be." She said.

   "Where's dad?" I asked.

"He'll be here soon." She said leaving my room.

I looked into the mirror, shut my door and headed downstairs.

Once I got to the kitchen, I put my heels on the floor and slipped them on. I slid open the back door and headed to where Tony was.

"Did you miss me?" I asked.
