"S-She's actually doing quite well. At the rate she's going, I'd say she could leave in a few days." Mark's smile had Dr. Kim a little distracted, but he had somehow managed to finish his sentence. How did he not see Jackson glaring daggers at him?

"Thank you so much, Dr. Kim, you don't know how happy I am to hear those words." Mark bowed respectfully as he thanked the doctor. Jackson doing the same, but never taking his eyes off the man that looked a bit flustered after staring at his Mark. The audacity.

When Dr. Kim had left them, Mark rushed in to tell Youngji and Eunji the news. Jackson was about to follow but stopped when his phone buzzed in his pocket. He pulled it out and saw that it was a message from their manager.

His eyes nearly popped out of their sockets when he clicked the notification. It was a clip of an article. An article that showed various images of him and Mark last night when they had come to the hospital. There were multiple shots of them kissing and Jackson hugging the elder, there were also pictures of the two of them with a sleeping Eunji as they were getting into the car. He scrolled further and the heading of the article read:

Top Idol Jackson Wang having an Affair with Renowned Author Mark Tuan.

He was more confused than shocked. Who did this? Not only were the facts wrong, but they didn't even bother to censor Mark's and Eunji's face.

He was actually kind of used to seeing misunderstood articles about him and other people, because some people and companies had nothing better to do, but this was different. All the other times they had blurred out the other person, this was the first time they had shown all three persons.

He was slightly infuriated, he continued reading until he stumbled across the alleged explanation of the title. There was another picture of Mark, but this time he was with Youngji and Eunji. It looked like it was from a year ago, because Mark had brown hair then and Jackson remembered seeing a photo frame on Mark's wall with the same look. The author of the article stated that since Mark had never been open about his personal life, and kept himself professional at all times, no one had seemed to take notice of how he was always with the two other females. Youngji and Eunji remained unnamed which was a good thing, but when he saw that the author commented on how Mark was secretly married and had a kid, he was beyond furious. Who did this person think they were to make up bullshit like this without even clarifying?

He was about to continue reading when his screen lit up with the face of his manager. He immediately picked up the call, ready to get whoever published this fired.

"What is the meaning of this?" His managers irritated voice came through the phone.

"There is no meaning to it, it's all utter rubbish. That person has no idea what they're talking about!" Jackson could hear his manager sigh.

"Alright, come back to the dorm and we will discuss this."

"Okay." Jackson said as he cut the call and walked into Youngji's room.

When he entered his heart immediately calmed itself down. Mark's laugh had that effect on him. The elder was laughing about something Youngji had said, until he noticed Jackson at the door.

"What took you so long?" Mark asked as he rubbed a tear that had collected in the corner of his eye.

"Sorry, I was on the phone with my manager." He took in the view of a happy Mark before he continued. "I have to head back to the dorm now."

"But don't you have today off?" Mark asked a little shocked.

"Yeah, something came up, but I'll come over again in the evening if that's okay with you?" Jackson asked shyly as he rubbed his neck. Youngji burst out laughing as she yelled out that they definitely fucked. Mark immediately going to shush her.

"Yeah, tell me when you're coming so I can make dinner, okay?" Mark said as he tried to stop Youngji from teasing him.

"Okay, I'll see you later then. Bye Youngji, Bye Eunji." The girls waved their goodbyes, before Jackson walked out.

"I don't understand how people think it's okay to assume things!"

"Jackson you need to understand the position you've put yourself in, you-"

"How does that matter? It's my life, they don't have the right to pry into it!"

"You will always be in the limelight! You should have been careful!"

Jackson and his manager were going back and forth, yelling at each other, it had been a couple of hours and they were going in a loop. Jaebum who also happened to be (sadly) present, but didn't know what to say to defuse the situation.

Unlike all the other alleged scandals that the press and paparazzi had managed to conjure up, this was the first one with actual proof of Jackson being with Mark, irrespective of whether they got all the other facts wrong, there was no disproving that Jackson had kissed Mark in public.

To be honest Jaebum wasn't that surprised when he saw the picture of the two on the bench, him and Jinyoung had actually talked about how they could see the two of them getting together, but what he didn't expect, was for things to escalate so fast. He didn't know how the entertainment industry would react to such a scandal. Jinyoung and himself were really careful, always diligent to their surrounds because they had heard from a former trainee that J.Y.P wasn't tolerant with its idols indulging in such things. He should have warned Jackson about it before.

"They agreed to take down the article on the condition that you attend an interview with them." Their manager finally said after he looked at his phone.

"Great! I'll settle this." Jackson said as he was about to get up.

"It's not that easy, there are many parties that could get affected by this." The manager stated as he rubbed his aching head.

"I don't care. My life is no one else's business."

"I think you should talk to Mark about this first, see what he has to say. He is involved in this after all." Jaebum said as he stopped Jackson from leaving the room.

"Jackson you really need to consider what you're doing; this situation could turn ugly in a second. The company might not even let you continue under it if you don't clear this up." This time it was the manager who spoke. He honestly didn't know what would happen to Jackson if this went downhill.

"Don't worry, I'll handle it."

[Don't even know why I hyped it up so much, it's not even that dramatic. I apologise for all the wasted time I've made you spend.]
