Mark and Youngji's eyes went wide. Had the hostess just said that?
"W-What? No-" Mark's heart clenched when Jackson stuttered. Why was she putting him on the spot like that?
"I mean, you must be bi at least, since you're dating Mark Tuan. He could for sure turn any man gay, am I right?" The hostess cut Jackson off.
"No, I-"
"No, you're not dating Mark, or no, you're not bi?"
"I-" she cut him off yet again.
"Well you see, we've got some juicy pictures here-"
"Can you please just let me speak!" Jackson lost his cool, for right reason, the female hadn't even let him get a single sentence out.
"I apologise, please say what you'd like to." A shiver ran down Mark's spine as he stared at the hostess's fake smile, her passive-aggression clearly displayed in her tone.
"I'm not in a relationship with Mark, but I'd like to be in one with him." Mark's heart sank to his stomach, this is not what they had discussed yesterday. Jackson said he wouldn't disclose any details about them!
"Oh my, you're really bold! Don't you think that doing so would affect your career as an Idol? Also, rumour has it that Mark is secretly married and has a child, why would you want to ruin that for them?" The witch smiled gleefully. Why was she doing this?
Mark watched Jackson stare at her in shock, he noticed how the younger clenched his hand tightly.
"First off, I'd like you say that you have no idea what you're talking about. You really shouldn't bank on rumours; they're rumours for a reason. Mark is neither secretly married nor has a child, you need to get your facts right." He paused for a second as he held up two finger and stared right that the female in front of him "Secondly, you really should learn how to treat the guests that comes on your show. If you're going to put me on spot like this, make sure you at least have substantial prove. That picture in the background is of him and his best friend and her child. You don't need to bring them into this, you wanted a statement on me and Mark, I gave it to you."
The female clenched her teeth as she held up a competing glare.
"You haven't answered my question, don't you think whatever it is you are doing is going to affect your career? Do you think your fans will be okay with you dating, let alone dating a man?"
"I don't see why you had to say it that way, who I date and what I do in my personal time sounds like a me problem, you don't need to worry about that. If my fans would have something to say about who I am and who I choose to be with I will address them personally. But, thanks though, for your concern, I really appreciate it." Was Jackson trying to commit social suicide? Mark's hands were gripped tightly by Youngji's as they shook.
The hostess was taken aback with how relentless Jackson was to defending himself.
"I'd actually like to make one last statement, if you don't mind?" The hostess nodded, an irritated express on her face.
"I'm really sorry to everyone who I have seemed to disappoint through what I have said this evening. I apologise for coming off as rude and condescending, but I will not be apologetic for who I like. I was told before I came to this interview, that what I said would deem my future's fate, so if this means that I will no longer be apart of Got6, or J.Y.P Entertainment, I accept." With that he walked off the stage.
What had he just done?
---
"Mark, I really think you should calm down." Youngji was trying her best to pacify a pacing Mark.
"He's still not answering!" Mark yelled frustratedly as he redialled Jackson's number on his phone, for the sixteenth time.
"Mark please, you're scaring Eunji." Youngji cradled the silently crying child closer to her chest, it was the first time both the females got to witness Mark lose himself completely.
"I'm heading out for a bit." Mark said as he redialled Jackson's number yet again, while leaving the room.
"E-Eomma, is Appa mad at Eunji?" Eunji clutched herself tight onto her mother's hospital gown.
"No baby, Appa wou]ever be mad at Eunji, Appa is a little worried right now, that's all." Youngji tried to keep herself from thinking of all the worst possible scenarios that Jackson could have gotten himself into.
When Mark came back twenty minutes later, his face looked even more worried than what he had left with. His phone was clenched tightly in his hand as he held back tears. Jackson still wasn't answering his calls or looking at his messages. He was so worried and stressed out about where the younger was.
It had nearly been three hours after the interview had ended, and there was still no sign of Jackson. Mark had called Jaebum to find out if any of the members knew where Jackson was right now. Jaebum had sounded utterly beaten down when he had answered the call, it was something that Mark's stomach took as a sign to churn itself. The leader was sadly not as helpful as Mark had hoped for, all he could say was that Jackson hadn't come back to the dorm, and that he had a meeting to attend to right then. Mark had dejectedly cut the call.
Where on earth was Jackson?
[YEEEEEEEEEEEEEET.
Please don't hate me. I sorry it's so short.]
